Tiger when it comes to politics and power I would suggest that Will Rogers stated correctly with his quote:

"The more you read and observe about this Politics thing, you got to admit that each party is worse than the other. The one that's out always looks the best."
                                          Will Rogers

It takes a push that hurts for voters to change direction.

See QCEx, I saved you the nauseating experience of waiting and hoping for Philobluster to call you for a chat. (Like that was really going to happen to anyone that was not going to give Philobluster a chance to ramble on and make himself look legislative.) All the pat answers you would have gotten from the pompous one I have include in my little post. And you did not have to experience any standard operating political b.s. ;-)

I was going to call in to this "townhall" conference call, but after thinking about it, I decided what we would get is exactly what you described---blahblah, Bush sux!--blahblah--oil companies are evil and must be taxed into oblivion---blahblah, etc.

Even after all this time, I still can't believe we actually have this doofus for our congressman----and the way the system's rigged, there's not a danged thing we can do about it! :-(

I have never been more flustered about the future of the country - hopefully my unease is just a short-termm issue.

However, it seems as though the Democrats are great at identifying problems, blaming others and offering no solutions.

I actually heard Obama say, when talking about the rise in oil prices, 'it's not only oil, but eggs have increased 30% in the last year - yes, things are tough.' Yes, they are Barack, but the question is not - 'that you feel our pain' - but 'WHAT SPECIFICALLY ARE YOU GOING TO DO ABOUT IT?'

The Democrat Congress has done absolutely nothing over the last 2-years, NOTHING!

Thankfully, their approval rating is half that of Bush's - however, (1) the voters are clueless to do anything about it, and (2) the Republicans are too incapable of mounting a serious charge when the media is in the bag for the Democrats.

Eventually, the pendulum will swing, but are the voters smart enough to make the appropriate changes in time - and are the Republicans willing to get back to their CONSERVATIVE roots?
