Earth Hour Approaches – Be Afraid

Be very Afraid!

Well tonight there will be many people turn off their lights for an hour celebrating Earth Hour. Earth Hour is global alarmists way of attempting to push the Kyoto treaty and Al Goracle’s fear mongering Global Warming theology. Many people will be doing it for any different reasons. There will be many that actually buy into the Global Warming hype just as many of us bit into the Global cooling hype many years back. Been there done that- no thanks for a repeat showing. There will be many people that will be joining because like Al Goracle, they will have figured a way to make a buck off the promotion. No thanks I will donate my money when and where I choose. There will be many who join looking for a false badge of honor to wear on their chest. Sorry I am not into pretentious and grandiose ego trips.  Many women will be joining in because they feel better about themselves when they have a big group hug. Good for them I actually think group hugs are a good thing for most people – just not my style. There will be a huge amount of guys that will join with them in the group hug – not because they are particularly into the Global Warming Cult – but because they are guys and hope by joining all the ladies in a big hug they might get lucky and get laid. I will pass on that reasoning also- I am mature enough to know there are better and more successful gender connections options available. No I say all this -not because I do not think we could be all be better shepherds of the planet. In fact I think we are terrible shepherds of the planet. I think there are lots of things we could do to make this planet better to live on. But this idea is just another fad where a handful of people want to look important, as they pretend to themselves and others how proactive they are at fixing the problems of the world. They will claim that dissenters from their global warming religion have buried their heads in the sand. Maybe – maybe not. Global warming is a theory that has many experts both pro and con about the theories. Plus turning off your lights to save energy is a lot like forced carpooling if you believe in the peak oil theory. It solves nothing! It merely strings out the inevitable. If you want to stave off starvation -fix the problem– don’t starve the mind and the body. Instead find alternative food sources. As to the infamous Kyoto treaty – I am sure it would make a good substitute for the now defunct Monkey Wards catalog in the outhouse. I have said this before and I will say it again – I live in the USA and not the NWO of the UN– I do not offer the United Nations any say in how I live my life.  If that offends anyone  -so be it! So as Earth Hour approaches, in honor of all those Goracle disciples, in all those different time zones that will be turning off their lights for an hour tonight – I plan on running my lights, televisions and radios for the next 24 hours straight. My house will be the bright spot visible from the sky tonight!

Obama Jobs Creation – All Smoke and Mirrors

Barack Obama – Messiah-wannabe, Agent of Hope and Change and Champion of Transparency in Government  – continues to fail at living up to his messianic self-portrayal. It seems that his promise of creating over three million jobs with his economic stimulus plan was all theologically based on Obama’s god like powers. According to an AP article, by Calvin Woodward, there is little evidence to propose that the Obama administration can actually create the jobs he claims will rise from his stimulus package. Perhaps the most telling line was – “If space exploration were conducted like the job forecasts under the government’s new stimulus law, man surely would have missed the moon”. Of course this revelation about the stimulus shortcomings are after the fact and exposed despite the (cough-cough-cough) transparent Obama Administration decision to hide from everyone that the stimulus plan prognostication numbers were all a game of smoke and mirrors! Plus Congress managed to fast track all them porky earmarks along with the stimulus bill. Cha-Ching bringing home that bacon! Can you see all those $$$ lighting up inside the eyes of Congress! Never mind that we the taxpayers have to pay for all this Obama transparency out of our pockets. Barack Obama – just another in a long line of political False Prophets hiding behind phony promises of hope and change.

Illinois Politicians – Tax and Waste

I was reading over on QCOnline about a proposal to add another 1% to the sales tax in Rock Island Co. (This does not even take into account Governor Rat Quinn’s suggestion that he is going to double the States Income Tax taken from everyone’s paycheck.) The proponents of the idea are championing the idea with a sob story about how it is needed to improve the school systems. Speaking for myself they can take this tax and shove it where the sun don’t shine. It is not that I do not think that the schools could use the money. I think just the opposite in fact. But in these tight money times  – what institution couldn’t use the money? My bank account and creditors needs the money just as much as the school does. The real problem is that the politicians of this State and county have frittered away the money that was supposed to go to the school systems. Anyone remember the hard sell points when they wanted to legalize gambling? Why the gambling money would go into the state school systems and create a fantastic school system for Illinois. Right – that worked out well. The money instead went into general funding and is used to pay for whatever pork project the State legislators fancy. Another 1% tax increase is just a way for local politicians to rape the local voter’s pocketbook because Rock Island Co. and the State of Illinois politicians are failures when it comes to handling finances. The State of Illinois Political Puppets have never met a tax they could not justify or waste. And as one commenter said – administration will eat up most of the tax money increase that ever makes it to the schools. Personally – if they do raise the taxes, I have absolutely no problem shopping elsewhere!

A tale of two local students!

And while we are on the subject of local schools – here is another rant! You can toss all the money you want at the school systems – but that does not spell out success. The school systems failure runs deeper than money problems. In the last few months it has been necessary for me to assist some individuals with reading difficulties. Both individuals can barely read. One had been out of school for several years the other just entered high school. Yet neither could read anything but basics. I could read better than either one of them when I was in first grade. Both were/still are lazy students. The school systems passed them along because they did not want to deal with these problem children. One is now an older gentleman and is not able to survive in this high tech communication era. The other is on the fast track to become a permanent guest of the juvenile penal system and candidate as a future resident of one of our fine Illinois Prisons. Now I would like to say that this was unusual but it is not. I can name several individuals that required more than minimal effort from the system that I have helped over the last few years cut from the same bolt of failure. The problem is deeper than money.

Obama Fumbles on AIG Bonus Topic

During his rah-rah I-am-your-savior speech on Tuesday media-selected President Barack Obama was asked by CNN reporter Ed Henry – why he waited so long to express his anger over the AIG bonuses paid with economic stimulus money. Perhaps some of the media are coming out of their Obamaton lackey state of existence. I guess the newspiece wasn’t just the tub of fluffy marshmallow topping Obama has come to expect – as Obama fumbled on the AIG bonus questions. Maybe Obama needs someone with an available quick quip running his teleprompter. An unhappy Obama went on the offensive and stated that he liked to know what he was talking about before he speaks on a subject. It is too bad he did not apply the same logic before he used his political muscle to hardball the pork laden stimulus package through the legislative body. It seems considering the Obama campaign promises to clean-up Washington DC politics and his current revelation of the Obama talent of evaluating problems before acting: that given the enormous amount of pork in the Obama/Reid/Pelosi stimulus package and the financial problems like the AIG bonus uproar that are surfacing – perhaps Obama the Messiah should have looked a little closer into his crystal ball when people were asking him to fix the bill before it became finished legislation. Oops, I forgot he cannot do that because the scribes of this legislation, like Reid and Pelosi, pull the Obama puppet strings that makes him dance and sing his marionette show for the public. Pelosi and Reid  write the legislation and Obama just rubber-stamps whatever they put in writing- no need to read or evaluate their legislation . Politics as usual in DC.

Obama Wagging the Dog?

The economy is still tanking and even loyal Democrat supporters are jumping on Obama’s case about his handling of the economy. Obama’s answer to the problem seems to be to wag the dog. Obama has decided to use a series of Blame Bush speeches and high-profile Bush policy reversals in an attempt distract people that he is just spinning his wheels while pretending to fix an economy with a pork laden stimulus bill that wastes billions of dollars. One of the latest dog wagging events involved Obama’s decision to reverse Bush’s policy against embryonic stem cell funding. There is a great idea – throw millions upon millions of dollars towards a research that has failed to produce results since its launch. Not!

Despite years of World Wide extensive research there has never been any actual successful treatment created with embryonic stem cells.

There have been severe problems associated with and at least one horrific event connected to attempt at embryonic stem cell treatments.

In the mean time Adult Stem Cell research has already proven to be successful in use for medical treatments:

But then the Obama decision to reverse the Bush Policy against funding embryonic stem cell research was not about scientific exploration. It was a completely political decision designed to distract voters from his flailing about while he pretends to fix the economy. It was a political fan the anti-Bush flames and satiate the rabid leftwing screaming for more embryonic stem cell research – despites its continued failures.  And Obama is willing to do this because it does distract from his current financial and leaderships failures even though it will steal funding and efforts from the progress adult stem cell research has pioneered, in favor of directing funds towards the failed fantasies of embryonic stem cell studies. Obama is more than willing to wag this dog at the cost of research success in order to play party politics. President Barack Obama – Media Selected – Jim Baker’s charm – Messiah wannabe- but still no agent of change!

Anna Nicole Smith Drug Pushers Face Criminal Charges

Though it seems like forever, it has just barely been two years since the February 2007 death of Anna Nicole Smith and the bizarre media and judicial circuses that followed. It has never ceased to amaze me about some of the exposed behavior committed by those supposed human beings that were in her circle of confidants that seemed more like contemptuous gold-diggers and enablers than caring friends. Granted it is/was just my opinion but some of the events seemed tantamount to criminal activities. One event that left me deeply troubled was the home video shot by her “close” friend Howard Stern of Ms. Smith in what was most assuredly a confused drugged state. Perhaps the most telling moment of the video was when Stern was recorded on the video saying to Ms. Smith, “This footage is worth money”. To quote an old adage – “With friends like these who needs enemies?” Now, two years after Ms. Smith’s death, according to a CNN report Howard Stern and the Medical Doctors responsible for obtaining and providing the drugs that perpetuated Ms. Smith’s death are being charged in the legal system with –“ prescribing, administering or dispensing a controlled substance to an addict” and other legal charges. Good! In my opinion anyone enabling by assisting Ms. Smith’s abuse of the drugs that killed her – deserves a harsh reality check of an extended stay in prison. In my opinion the individuals than enabled her demise are no superior than the common drug pushers selling their poison on the streets – they are just fancier dressed. Let them all rot in jail as notice of such!

School Sex Ed is a Hands On Experience

The school systems are struggling to teach students reading, writing and arithmetic – and yet for some reason parents think these nanny-state organizations will offer their children a quality moral upbringing! Please – get real. Teachers are becoming the new poster girls for sexually abusing young boys. A recent event claims two different teachers of having sexually abused a thirteen-year-old boy at different times. And these are from the same pool of teachers that teach your children sex education and morality. Why would anyone in his or her right minds trust the government to teach morality? Government Legislators conduct is indistinguishable from drunkenness and debauchery.  You expect hem to look after your children’s well-being? Is there any wonder school systems are pushing to teach sex and hand out condoms and contraceptives to elementary grade students? Sex education in the public school systems is becoming a hands-on-experience, where the curriculum flames the kid’s curiosity and then various teachers rape the children. The US school system is busy training a generation of sexually active children for the amusement of perverts that are hiding as teachers and administrators in the school system.

Obama Spins and Fiddles

Media selected President Barack Obama continues to lose credibility concerning his campaign promises to cleanup Washington. His promise to fix Washington DC Politics has become a joke as the pork-laden bills are rolling out of Congress at a very expensive rate. Can new and bigger taxes on everyone be far behind? Plus another of his White House Staff nominees set to help Obama cleanup Washington has stepped aside. It seems that Charles Freeman, the Obama administration’s choice for National Intelligence Council chief has taken his name out of consideration. Among his other shortcomings a statement in a CNN article stated that Freeman previously declared that the Chinese government did not crack down quickly enough on pro-democracy demonstrators in Tiananmen Square in 1989. It sounds like Obama also has a soft spot for Communist sympathizer advisers to convoy his Obama Socialist Strategy. Of course as long as the lemming voters continue to dance and sing when Obama spins his false prophet message of hope and change – Obama can fiddle the night away as Rome burns down around him.

Update

Well it seems that Barack Obama has broken more of his campaign promises. During his campaign and rise to President the Messiah-wannabe Obama was going to drive the moneychanger lobbyists out of the Temple called Washington DC! Oops that has not worked so well. In fact, according to a Michelle Malkin post– Obama has just given extra special consideration exemptions to allow two more former lobbyists to join his administration. One lobbyist is associated with La Raza, an organization trying to open our borders further to illegal alien invasions.

Obama Foreign Aid For Illegal Aliens

Oops the winners from the planned Obama stimulus package are – illegal immigrants! According to a CNN article by Jack Cafferty, possibly as high as 300,000 (fifteen percent) of the expected two million construction jobs to be created by the Obama Stimulus package will go towards employment for illegal aliens, not citizens of the US. It seems Obama has decided to stimulate the third world economies with our tax money. I suppose it should not be all that shocking that Obama seeks to give tax money to illegal aliens, since Obama is part of the same group of Illinois politicians that has been attmpting to make our State of Illinois into a sanctuary state for illegal aliens.  Perhaps this a new form of foreign aid by the Obama/Pelosi/Reid brain trust? Maybe the economy is in better shape than Obama claims if we can afford to give our “save the country’s economy” stimulus money to illegal aliens.

US Headed Towards a Heart Attack

When you go to a Doctor and he tells you your cholesterol is extremely high so quit eating the bacon or you are going to have a heart attack: the best course of action is to quit indulging in the bacon. The US is currently in the middle of a financial cardiac arrest and a good deal of the problem can be traced back to Congress and its inability to lay off wrapping up the bacon inside legislation that they are writing. As Roland Martin pointed out in his column just 32 US Senators voted for John McCain’s proposal to clean out the pork laden earmarks in the current legislation that contains over 9000 earmarks and over 7 billion dollars of extra expenditures. I ranted in my previous post that though we citizens in the US are always complaining about how Congress overspends on pork projects – we look the other way and actually cheer our representatives for bringing home all that pork into our community. Why because financial pork tastes good. It means federal government is actually paying for projects in our area that our State/County/City budgets would have had to juggle money for. That way our State/County/City can spend our finances on some extra whipped cream and fancy nut toppings for our banana splits to accompany that fatty bacon. But in the end who actually pays for the pork and the whipped cream? We do. We pay for it with taxes that rob our savings and limit our personal expenditures. We pay for it with taxes on our businesses that means they have to either raises prices, limit hiring, reduce wages, move to another location or even just close up shop. Worse yet because the money buying the bacon we are relying from comes from federal sources that means even more of that tax money gets lost into expensive federal government bureaucracy where we have even less control of where the funds end up than we do at State/City/County levels. Yet we keep loving it when our representatives lay that fatty bacon on our plates for our consumption. And we keep edging close and closer to a Federal/State/County/City/Personal financial heart attack because as we keep cheering and reelecting those same representatives injecting our veins with that artery clogging pork fat. Too much of any luxury food  is often dangerous to your health. Pork laden earmarks are mostly luxury food. We have become a financially suicidal society. I think Mr. Martin put well in his article when he said –>

Folks, if you truly want to see Congress clean up its act, you’re going to have to make them do it. And the only thing you have that they want is your vote. So leverage it. Otherwise, don’t squawk about earmarks because it’s just wasted breath.
