Throughout the 2008 elections the Obama/Biden disciple mantras were to follow our spiritual guides because they are wise. We are now ending month seven of the 2009 and both candidates’ actions continue to dispel the “they are wise mantra”. Biden has went from location to location making a chump out of himself and the US, his latest being an attempt to flare up hostilities with Russia. The GW Bush faux pauxs pale when compared to Biden, and he has barely been VP for six months. Obama has not performed much better. His performance continues to mirror Chicago Thug Style Politics. He had a good mentor in the Richard Daley Machine. Instead of intelligence, Obama has set his attack-dog bishops, Pelosi/Emanuel/weak-sister-Reid loose to whip everyone in line and to force everyone to kneel before the Obama totem, while Obama sits in the Oval Office and dispels criticism of his methods with his boyish charm. He has yet to offer the US any of his proclaimed wisdom, just his expectations of our total worship of his Socialist Agenda.

With Biden becoming the court jester, Obama’s approval ratings still slipping and his latest legislative monstrosity –A Socialized Takeover of the Health Care Industry meeting considerable resistance-  Pope Obama has decided to return to what got him elected. A Kristi Kreck article on CNN states – Obama is using a dose of Homecoming king to get his message out. Basically that means the Obama weapon in the fight to force his Socialist Agenda down the throats of US Citizens is charm and subservience – choosing to pass on wisdom and logic. Not that he has displayed either to this date. Nope Obama has returned to the “hope and change” rhetoric that got him elected. He has returned to what he understands à If you lack the ability to win them with brilliance dazzle them with bullshit. It probably will work. It is how he got elected after all. Everybody forget reality and instead repeat after me the vacant Obama Mantra for the mindless:

Hope and Change. Hope and Change. Hope and change. Wow – don’t we all feel better! Whew. Are we now all good little Socialists since we are now one step closer to becoming Avatars in the Obama Socialist Theocracy!

theScoundrel Takes the Rorschach Test

It seems that many in the Gold-Laden Pompous Psychology Industry have become upset as an insider released the ten basic Rorschach images and the top patient replies on Wikipedia. I suppose I could use the building controversy to go on a rant about the smoke-and-mirror shrink industry that I consider mostly a pseudo science, that wants to become the next God, but I won’t. Instead I have decided to take the test myself and analyze the results. The following are my Rorschach Answers to the images presented at the Wikipedia link–>

After analyzing my results I have determined that theScoundrel is most likely an average and inconspicuous Zelig-like individual with both bizarre imagination and humor. The patient has a fondness for movies, old cartoons, comic books, science fiction novels, the Chicago Cubs, the Chicago Bears, consuming mass quantities of peanuts, munching down Moon Pies and Nutty Bars, guzzling Mountain Dew and chasing younger women. The individual is somewhat of an insomniac, which probably heightens his already antagonistic issues with authority figures, egotistical hallowed institutions, medical and mental health experts – plus he exhibits an extremely low tolerance for politicians, their disciples and their rhetoric. Which probably explains his complete distrust of their actions and motives. Wow – to think I got all that just analyzing my Rorschach answers! Whew, I guess I’m all-better now!

theScoundrel’s Yard is Invaded

No Film At 11:00!

TheScoundrel has officially declared war on invading garden beetles. My garden, which has been producing cucumbers in mass quantities, last week, was the victim of an overnight sneak attack from beetles. The normal defense parameter failed as the beetles stripped the leaves off of a good chunk of my vegetable garden. It was determined some new defensive actions must be taken to repel the attackers in an effort to protect the whole vegetable garden. The multitude of the beetle antagonists determined that the problem only seemed solvable by weapons of mass destruction. A trip to the garden store saw theScoundrel’s meager garden budget, investing in Bag-a-Bug weaponry. According to information presented by the weapons manufacturer each individual bug killer should eradicate around 4,000 adversaries. The counter attack on the beetle aggressors has seen four fully packed bags disposed of, to date, with a new round of weapons dispersed on the battle front. The colorful bags full of squirming bugs also seem to entertain the beast. Raise the “Don’t tread on me flag” and time to shout volleys of death to the beetle invaders.

Joe Biden Foot-in-Mouth Disease Continues

Ever since Sarah Palin was announced as John McCain’s VP nominee choice for the 2008 election, detractors harangued her. They called her too inexperienced and often painted her as a ditzy beauty queen. Heck they are so afraid she will gain a foothold for the 2012 POTUS election they are still trying to paint her as the Saturday Night Live Character portrayed by Tina Fey instead of the rebel fight-the-crony system Governor of Alaska that she was. The anti-Palin forces were always quick to point out VP candidate Joe Biden’s many years in politics and how his presence would balance out his inexperienced POTUS candidate/partner especially in foreign relations.

Considering the continued hatchet job by the Palin haters, we may never know how well or badly  Sarah Palin would have been in the White House. But starting early in the Obama/Biden campaign we already knew how wrong the Biden champions were about Biden making the Obama/Biden ticket stronger with his presence. Biden has had diarrhea of the mouth ever since his original selection. He does not seem he can open his mouth without sticking his foot inside. His most recent diarrhea of the mouth has Secretary of State Hillary Clinton doing clean-up work for the Obama administration. It seems that Biden could not resist doing a foreign policy interview without finding a way to insult the Russians. So much so that his insulting statement made front-page news across the country of Russia. At Biden’s current rate of foot-in-mouth disease he may be able to insult every major player in US foreign affairs before the end of the Obama/Biden second year anniversary. It makes you wonder if he will be asked back for a second run for the office when Obama runs in 2012! Of course if the Biden foot-in-mouth disease continues at the current pace – Obama might not wait until the 2012 election before he finds a way to rid himself of the foreign policy expertise of Biden on his Presidential ticket.

Surrendering the Right of Privacy

I was reading an article on CNN by Julian Zelizer commenting on healthcare reform by comparing it to a rosy picture of Medicare he seems to have formed. I have repeatedly stated my objections to the current push to socialize and create a Government owned/operated healthcare system while also stating my very unfavorable evaluation of the governments operations of Medicare/Medicaid in several previous posts here and at other blogs. Instead, today I am pondering something else said by Zelizer that speaks towards the hypocrisy of the far leftwings screaming for a total government takeover and basically socialization of the healthcare industry.

I have not read many of Mr. Zelizer’s articles so I am unsure of his overall political leanings but after reading his article titled “Why be afraid of Government”, I must assume he slept though the Bush presidency. The reason I say this is that for the last several years I have heard the non-stop chanting mantra of the far left loony Bush Deranged squads screaming at the top of their lungs — that the Right-to-Privacy World was coming to an end because George Bush was running a government sponsored wire tapping program. According to them the fact that the Bush presidency was checking and listening to phone calls made to regions that were safe harbors for terrorists out to destroy our country was an invasion of privacy. Now those same people are leading the charge to force everyone to into a government operated/owned healthcare system. A system where government will have complete access to every bit of personal and private information needed to diagnose every individual’s health. There will be no personal privacy or rights from government intrusion. A government system that will then have a right to pull and examine those documents at will when funding or operating procedures come in question. And a government that has never been good at keeping private information –private and out of the press- will run the system. It will be ran by a government that has long been filled with people unafraid to pull and use private citizens information for personal and political gain. The hypocrisy of those Bush Deranged individuals leading the charge for a Government Operated Socialized Health Care System, whom were formerly worried that someone in government might accidentally overhear a private telephone conversation – yet -are now ready to surrender every bit of private and medical information to the control of that same government system, is beyond any form of rational thinking.

The Fools on The Hill

Regions control the deer population by setting dates where it is legal for hunters to kill/harvest the animals. One of the tricks hunters use to lure deer into traps, where they can be easily found and killed, is depositing salt licks to draw the deer into the area the hunter has staked out. Salt is a mineral that all animals need to sustain life and when the hunter deposits a salt lick near a used trail it will naturally draw the deer into the hunting zone where it has been staked.

In many ways the New Health Care Reform plan that President Obama is pushing is like that salt lick. Obama and the Congress are dangling the health care reform at a cost. They want to start making the decisions on who lives and who dies. Like the hunter they are dropping health care reform on the path in hopes of attracting enough support that citizens will stop and take the bait. And while they package the Healthcare reform up in a pretty package with a bow it will be lined with clauses where they form committees that gets to choose your healthcare instead of your chosen doctor getting to decide what is the best course of action. The health care reform is actually a Trojan horse. Just like Left-Wing Supreme Court Justice Ginsberg let slip about the dark eugenic reasoning by the nobles when it comes to abortion – the Obama healthcare reform is another eugenic program designed to weed out less desirables. Not only does Obama and the Congress want to take medical decisions out of the hands of your physician, as QCExaminer pointed out on her blog they have created inside the reform a mandatory “dying with dignity” program. More eugenics. Why should the government pay for medical treatment for the unwanted, disabled and debilitated when they can force a doctor to brainwash them into some form of legal or illegal suicide. And if the patients are incapable of making that decision then it is inevitable that Obama and the Congress will setup another board to make the decision for each individual.

I -like many of the other citizens of this country- have witnessed both the positive and the negatives of our current health care system – up close and personal while helping to deal with family medical treatment. But both the current business sector and government operated divisions of Medical Health Care – have serious flaws that create vast deadly tar pits, which place patients in peril. Which is why one of my constant rants since the health care reform push started is, though I want to see real health care reform, I have no desire to have a health care system that is owned, operated and managed by the government. I, like many other citizens/voters would love to see health care reform. But the end results question appears – at what cost? There is financial cost of course.  That will be a factor no matter what, if any, kind of reform is passed. As was discussed over on Cruisers blog, there will be divisions on how much money is spent and if where it is spent is acceptable. The darkest side of the Obama health care reform is not in the financial arena.  The darkest side is with a government owned, operated and managed system becomes a case of the fox guarding the hen house. The govenment taking over our personal lives, habits and choosing the treatments we recieve instead of our physicians. As much harm as good will come out of that type of system. We do not even have a bill passed and already many of our elected servants sitting in Capitol Hill have continued to earn themselves worthy of the title “Fools on the Hill”. Both the Executive Branch -Barack Obama- and a large amount of the Legislative Branch –the House and Senate- are rushing to pass legislation that none of them have read. Worse yet, none of those with the hots to pass this legislation can even talk plainly and with intelligence about the legislation because they have not even bothered to finish writing the final product. You have to ask the question – why are they rushing to pass legislation they have not read and is not even close to a final product? The reason for the rush to pass this health care legislation is simply political. Obama has made a campaign promise to pass health care reform and plans to pass a bill even if it is a bad plan. Obama’s problem is he has run into a wall of bipartisan rejection of his rush to hang a campaign promise trophy above his fireplace mantel. And now Obama has started to campaign and push his health care reform through his disciples in the media. But the closer we examine the parts of the health care reform that has been written, the reform packages are starting to reveal some of the darkside eugenics behind the Obama/Pelosi/Reid/Congress rush to pass Government Operated Health Care Legislation. They want to decide who lives and who dies. And I can guarantee you that all their friends and family are on a protected list. The rest of us will be on the lower end of the food chain.

The Palin Product – Political Class Warfare

There is a lawyers confrontation scheme that is often used to bully in lawsuits where one of the individuals is incapable of sustaining a long-term legal defense against the other side. Lawyers are not shy of throwing the challenge at an individual when they know they have the other side in a financial bind. The lawyer phrase usage goes something like this – “you may win this case but you lack the resources for an extensive fight. And we will drag you back into court for as long as we can (while inferring they will bankrupt you). Settle and surrender to our terms.” That is the current tactic being used by political pawns (mostly of the elite power brokers in the Democrat Party) against former vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin.

Every since last years Republican Vice Presidential nominee, Sarah Palin, was placed on the ticket – there has been an overabundance of attempted personal attacks on her and her family. Accusers have been throwing accusation after accusation in attempts to disparage her character. Like it or not, that is actually part of the territory that comes with modern politics. The problem with the attacks on Palin is that they seem pointed at creating an overload of defensive legal costs for the former candidate. Plus unlike under normal personal attack circumstances on politicians – the normal Party warriors and Spin Masters (usually financed by elite powebrokers of the Republican Party) have not been offering Palin much of a defensive shield. Now I am sure there are many anti Palin people giddy at the thoughts of bankrupting the Governor of Alaska, who has the boldness to actually challenge status quo in the Two-Party System on the Republican side. (I was not a Ron Paul supporter – but the same types of attacks were aimed at the man during his run.) The real problem is that most of the Palin attackers are just doing the actual dirty work of the two-party political power mongers behind the Palin attacks. But the real concern behind the Palin attacks are the people who control Washington and want everyone who climbs the political ladders to owe those power brokers homage. Those power brokers want individuals that preach reform but stay firmly knelt before the shakers and movers. They do not allow politicans to climb the success ladder that do not submit to their authority. We may never get to know whether Sarah Palin would have been a true reformist on a National arena as she was championed to be on a State level. And that is what these Palin attacks are all about.

These attacks are to tell Sarah Palin she should stay in her place and not challenge the national authority power structure in the next election.  They are to tell her – kiss our rings if you want to play in the political games. They are attacks not just on Palin but any politcal wannabe whom does not have the financial ability to be a “true political independent mind” in a two-part system. They are attacks to tell Palin, and future politcian wannabes,  you may be popular with the “little people” but we make the rules that determine who holds the power and control the process. They are attacks to tell Palin, or anyone else that challenges their power structure, you must kneel before our majesty if you wish to play in our reindeer games. They are attacks to remind those of us that would like to see real reform – not just lip service- that we lack the resources to challenge them head on. They are attacks that should remind all of us- Democrat, Independent, Libertarian, Republican etc.- that the Washington DC  power brokers will not give up their hold on Washington Politicians without a difficult fight.

Politicians Keep on Playing Wag the Dog

A couple of CNN stories draw question about the timing and intent of the Dick Cheney/CIA story surrounding the anti-terrorist program that was concealed from Congress.

In one story Mary Matalin is quoted that the whole show is an attempt to distract from President Obama’s struggles with running the country. That is probably partially true. The Cheney/CIA leak is a smoke and mirror show designed to get the Obamamites screaming for blood while distracting the rest of the public as the False Prophet of Change and Hope, Barack Obama, employ the media in attempts to polish his successes and hide his failures. Though I am inclined to believe it is also a wag the dog shield to help protect Nancy Pelosi from scrutiny over her war briefing memory blunders. But then what is Matalin’s statement but another smoke and mirror show to dazzle the public while Republicans attempt to right their flailing ship? The whole process is a case of “politics as usual” from both sides of the aisle.

The second story I found more revealing (well as informative as most stories revolving around secret intelligence agencies ) than practically any of the political spin being tossed around by any of the smoke and mirror jesters. In that story two former intelligence officials were quoted as saying, “Cheney was getting a bum rap” about the now exposed program. According to them the program fell under the wings of another broader covert program that Congress was briefed on. Plus the actual program was never implemented and eventually the proposal was cancelled. At some point in time the program has been reinstated. However the officials stated that the Congress would only have been required to be informed about the program had they ever went operational with the program. They did not and the program was recently cancelled by current CIA Head – Leon Panetta. Meanwhile both political parties attempt to pander and profit from an intelligence program that should have stayed secret. I am sure more smoke and mirror games will follow.

Here is my view in a nutshell. From the gist of the limited information that the public is privy to it sounds as if the paths followed were within the legal parameters. Should they look into the process? Probably and privately. I have said this before- governments and especially intelligence agencies often work in a world of shadowy secrets that the public will never be privy to. And when dealing with a loose-lipped Congress where individuals from both sides of the political aisle leak information for political gain – it is an almost certainty that the inner circles of intelligence information knowledge will be kept small.  And with the political smoke and mirror games this program will generate – what might have eventually been a feasible program – is now compromised and destroyed by politics. Here was a program being worked on that would have been aimed at taking out terrorists while reducing the chance of damage and death to bystanders. Perhaps they will be able to revive and resuscitate the program after all the political games are over, maybe not. What a waste.

The Logic of Crystal Ball Illusions

Move over Florida’s hanging chads! Now the City of Rock Island, Illinois has a voting dilemma to call its very own. And while whomever eventually becomes the ruling Mayor of Rock Island, Illinois will not be as exciting as the struggle of becoming POTUS, the controversy is certainly indicative of election problems that can appear when an election vote total is in question. In an election marred by voting errors the final decision about who will be Mayor of Rock Island will come down to chance as a name will be drawn by lot. This end process is due to a judge’s decision that he has the omnipotence to determine the intent of two voter ballots that are very similar in confusing appearance. He determined that one ballot was spoiled and the other worthy of a vote for Levin. Yet neither ballot offers a clear vote for either candidate. I totally agree with candidate Pauley’s assumption that there is no clear evidence to make a final determination upon whom the voters wanted to give their vote for. In my estimation both ballots upon which the judge made his final decision on were spoiled. So why would the judge count one vote and toss the other? Since we are dealing with assumptions we clearly need a Ouija Board to understand the crystal-ball reasoning ability behind the judges decision. And my Ouija Board suggested three words. Hot Potato – Punt. Clearly, the Ouija Board is telling me that the voting decision has become so inflammatory that the judge has decided to avoid making a decision for either candidate and by making the final vote a tie, he can pass on the final decision to an obscure rule that allows a tie vote to be decided by chance. But then maybe – my assumption of the Ouija Board reading was incorrect and just an illusion. Perhaps my  Ouija board is just hungry for a Hungry Hobo Hot Baked Potato and anxious for the start of the Bears football season. I guess that is the problem when you rely on crystal-ball logic.

Pot Thy Name is Kettle Black

Senator Arlen Specter has called fellow rival Democrat Joe Sestak a flagrant hypocrite that conveniently registered as a Democrat just in time to run for Congress. Please do not make me projectile vomit Senator Specter! According to the CNN article about the subject – Sestak registered from an Independent to a Democrat in 2006. Hmm at least Sestak beats Specter in seniority as a member of the Democrat Party by almost three years, since Specter was a Republican up to this year.  And granted Specter was a RHINO but he only switched parties to stave off a probable Republican primary loss if he stayed a Republican.  Same Old-Same Old Politics as Usual! Senator Specter you are the pot calling the kettle black!!!
