Code Pink – Still Crazy After All These Years

In a crude and offensive manner Code Pink protesters displayed why it is hard to take the poor-pitiful-me shrieks by the Democrat leadership about possible offensive Tea party remarks during the Washington DC protest over Obamacare. Code Pink was just one of numerous fanatic shills for the Democrat Party that for years, has spewed hatred and espoused violence against the Bush Administration. At a recent Karl Rove book signing event the Code Pink thugs stormed the stage and accosted Rove – almost two years after George Bush left office- and once again performed their roguish behavior, evidently trying to  prove they are still crazy after all these years.

The Mute Media Double Standard Remains

The media stays locked on possible transgressions by individuals mixed in with the Tea Party protest in Washington DC. Individuals from the left use the mainstream media in attempts to discredit the whole Tea Party movement by “possible” actions of one or two people in a crowd of thousands. Granted any person that hurled racial slurs at the protest should be made face the public, but the leftwing is more interested trying to smear the Tea Party through mainstream media outlets. Meanwhile the media continues its double standard of attacking the Tea Party movement while ignoring the actions of leftwing antagonists.  Once again the Tea Party movement is harassed verbally and physically while the media stays silent. And except for the Internet – no one might never have known that some  Harry Reid supporters threaten an onlooker with violence and gleefully pelted the Tea Party caravan with eggs in Searchlight Nevada. The double standard Silent Media remains mute!

Blind Loyalty

Hollywood elitists like Sean Penn, Danny Glover, Michael Moore etc…, are often spouting out blind loyalty about how great people have it under dictators like Venezuela’s Hugo Chavez and Cuba’s Fidel Castro. Sean Penn even went as far as offering himself as a human shield for Saddam Hussein. Of course they live in the US and not under the dictators they are constantly supporting in the media. So Penn & Co. have few worries about retribution when they castigate the US  government while also offering vocal support to the bloody dictators.   Were they living under those dictators and criticizing the Chaves or Castro regime – they would find themselves censored while risking being tossed in prison. According to several media sources, Maria Conchita Alonso – a co-star with Sean Penn in the movie “Colors”, has written an open letter to Penn criticizing him for his vocal support of Hugo Chavez. Ms. Alonso was born in Cuba and raised in Venezuela. In her letter Ms. Alonso tells Penn –>

“My intention isn’t to convince you, but to let you know what is truly happening in this beautiful country of noble people.”…….

“I would encourage you to investigate in depth the ‘inside story’ and realize for yourself the dark side behind the person you choose to idolize.”

Perhaps she should give a copy of the letter to Team Obama, so that his Marxist loving advisers, that are also busy idolizing Chavez and Mao Tse Tung, might take the time to look into the dark side of those they bestow adoration.

TV Series 24 to End this Season

The following is a quote from the television series “24″.

I see fifteen people held hostage on a bus, and everything else goes out the window. I will do whatever it takes to save them, and I mean whatever it takes. … Laws were written by much smarter men than me. And in the end, these laws have to be more important than the 15 people on the bus. I know that’s right. In my mind, I know that’s right. I just don’t think my heart could ever have lived with it.

Fox has announced that this will be the last season for their hit television show “24″, which had the fictional character Jack Bauer fighting fictional terrorist attacks being perpetrated in the USA! I was kind of a late comer to the television show. I did not have access to the Fox channel for most of the early seasons, so I had to catch “24″ on replay when it was broadcast on  satellite channels. Some of those seasons I missed part or all of the episodes. It was an easy  series to like that happened on the scene at a time period where the USA had been attacked by real terrorists.  The right show at the right time to captivate an audience.  Besides what was a ground breaking format for story telling, a crucial part of what  made the show interesting, was the Bauer character’s willingness to do whatever information extraction methods “he felt” necessary, to prevent  disaster. There will be a movie spin-off but I will miss tuning into the weekly series.

The last few years -in real life- the US populace has been split on the value of harsh intelligence agency  interrogation techniques.  In the fictional television series “24″, Jack Bauer has usually pushed the envelope of using harsh techniques to obtain his intelligence information. A trend of the series, was reflecting what was happening in real life US political scenes – in the real life battle between pro and con usage of extreme interrogation methods.  There are those that wish to make even harsher restrictions on what the US Intelligence Agencies can or cannot do during interrogation of terrorist suspects. My personal reflections are split on the real life issue. I can understand the moral objections and information value issues that can be argued by both sides of the conflict. But in the end I tend to agree with the Bauer quote I included at the top of this post. I think you have to give Intelligence agencies the ability to do their job when dealing with terrorists. I am a big believer in living life by the rules. But I am also am a believer that when terrorists/adversaries do not play by the current rules then – you change the rule book to level the playing field. We can only hope there are real life Jack Bauers – those willing to take personal and professional risks, by bucking the slow moving US  bureaucracy – that real terrorists count on-  that tends to hamper the safety of US citizens from terror attacks.

Tobacco – Next in the Bio Fuel Saga

Media sources are reporting that tobacco could become the next source in the search for a viable bio-fuel energy resource. Evidently it seems to hold a lot of promise. It sounds as if it could turn the tobacco plant back into  a favorable crop and help fix the negative public  image created by the tobacco products industry. It was also reported that the final product created for fuel does not generate the same dangers of smoking tobacco products. Still, for some reason–> I cannot get this picture out of my head of heavy smokers chasing down moving vehicles trying to inhale the exhaust.

Derrek Lee Injured While Eating

In what was clearly a treacherous act perpetrated by either a St. Louis Cardinal or Chicago White Sox operative –> Derrek Lee was injured when a chair collapsed from underneath him, while he was eating. Early information is that Lee was not seriously injured from the evil deed designed to keep the Chicago Cubs star First Baseman from playing the 2010 MLB season. Should the injury turnout more serious I am sure that spin doctors from the rival baseball teams shall attempt to pass the injury off as, just another in a long history of bizarre injuries happening to star Cub players such as, the Soriano -hop, the Sosa -sneeze and the Zambrano -e-mail injury! The overall historical strangeness of Star Cub player injuries continues to look like a decades long conspiracy of treacherous acts committed by rival teams or perhaps another Billy Goat Curse. This conspiracy surely needs further investigation and it should be examined in detail by MN Governor Jesse “The Body” Ventura on his television show Conspiracy Theory!

Anti-Tea Party Fear Mongering Rant

Phil Hare – fear-monger -hypocrite! Now on with the actual rant.

The recent fear-mongering by the Democrat Party, Mainstream media, even locally with the Quad City Times and Dispatch/Argus/QCOnline is an amazing display of hypocrisy.  I am not a Tea Party member but I have seen almost nothing but efforts to belittle the organization  by all of the previously mentioned organizations. Why that is so by what is supposed to be an unbiased media is beyond reasoning. The current uproar over what happened at the DC protest is further example of their methodology. First off they almost completely ignore the Tea Party protest event that was tens of thousands of unhappy people.  The little recognition they did receive was that “perhaps” someone in the crowd” may” have spit on a Congressman and that some “may” have hurled racial epithets. That may or may not be true. Even if it was true – instead of going after the offenders-  the media and the democrat party are using the isolated incidents as a way to paint the whole crowd as violent  ruffians and inflame hatred towards the whole Tea Party.  I suppose they were also responsible for the real life recent attack on a Republican legislators office. I suppose they were also responsible fro the man caught with a weapon during the 2008 campaign here in the Quad Cities that was trying to kill John McCain. The mainstream media managed to miss that story at the national levels. Meanwhile the the media has kept hidden in the very back corners of their journals the actual  violence perpetrated against Tea party members by Obama thugs and SEIU  members at the various town hall meetings that were held around the country. They were also busy blaming conservatives for attacks in Denver during the recent presidential campaign that turned out to be democrat sympathizers.  And perhaps the most evident case of media hypocrisy is- that while the media and democrat party are currently busy crucifying the complete Tea Party movement over what may or may not be verbal incidents perpetrated on various democrat members – the Democrat Party,  The Mainstream Media – even the local Quad City Times and The Dispatch/Argus/QCOnline managed to treat the previous eight years of Bush Derangement Syndrome as just an interesting cultural phenomenon.   Perhaps the best display of that hypocrisy was displayed by  poster benrush over on QCExaminers blog. He posted a Zombie Times  link to that Bush Derangement Syndrome where Democratic Presidential candidate and leftwing worshiped Senator John Kerry can be glibly suggesting killing Bush,  protesters hanging Bush in effigy, Bush Deranged carrying signs and wearing T-Shirts calling for violence against Bush. Meanwhile  the media, the Democrat party and Current and past Bush Deranged enablers just  ignored all that as simple protest. Still they villainize the whole Tea Party and the tens of thousand of protesters at DC for what may or may not have been committed by a handful of protesters in the lot. Bart Stupak Sells out Babies for less than $1

They say there is no honor among thieves. Well if there is a faction of society with even less honor it would be the birds of a feather – lawyers and politicians.  The recent Chicago thuggery used by Team Obama to pass Obamacare was a prime example of that notion. Bribery and extortion tactics seemed to be the standard operating procedure, for the Team Obama administration that ran a 2008 election campaign of hope, change and cleaning up Washington DC politics. One group of Democrat congressman, led by Bart Stupak, claimed to be taking the moral high ground against Obamacare unless Team Obama included language to protect current laws against federally funded abortions. When the final votes were tallied – Stupak had led his group, that had  pledged to protect the rights of unborn children, in to supporting Obamacare. According to Stupak, his vote for Obamacare was because  Obama promised to issue a Presidential Executive Order directing the legislation towards  protecting the rights of unborn children. Strangely, after the vote- even Stupak admitted that the Executive Order was not much more than a token gesture that is subject to whim and fancy.  So why would he lead his group away from their staunch pledge to force protective language for the unborn back in to Obamacare legislation? Perhaps the newly released information that just two days before the vote Stupak – like so many other legislators before him- received a special political deal from Team Obama. It seems that Stupak received federal airport grants totaling almost 3/4 of a million dollars just days before the vote. I guess Stupak managed to receive thirty pieces of silver in return for his groups vote. Since the US averages just over a million abortions per year – It looks like Stupak set the price of life at less than $1 per baby.

ACORN – Good Riddance to Bad Rubbish

Like Rev. Wright and former Weatherman/domestic terrorist  Bill Ayers, another political support structure in the Obama climb to the Presidency has been thrown under the bus!  ACORN has been an Obama supporting political activist group – that was started by another former Weathermen, Wade Rathke. According to several media sources, ACORN is close to bankruptcy and will close up shop by April 1st. That is assuming it is not an April Fools Joke! Considering all the voter fraud and corruption allegations against ACORN  -Good Riddance to Bad Rubbish-  may their end be quick and forever. Obama does not seem to be riding to the rescue of his brownshirt support group. However I would not count on the forever part for the core of ACORN leadership. Whenever you bust up a colony of rats they tend to scatter, hide and find their way back to infest your property again. Some of the ACORN locations have already rebranded themselves under new names. Considering the rubbish pile that is Washington DC politics -a perfect atmosphere for the Rathke/pest infestation  to hide-  it will be difficult to rid the country of ACORN.

Freedoms Lost

I have said from the beginning that Obamacare was never really about health care reform. It is and always has been about a power grab by statist progressives wanting to further their Nanny State ideology. They will use the wording built into the legislation to expand the Nanny State, where the government gets to decide “who lives and who dies”.  They have already used the legislation to take one step closer to legally using federal funds for abortions – when they got the pro-life Democrat group to surrender for a limited engagement minstrels song and dance called a Presidential Executive Order. Over on Investors Business Daily politics and market blog, David Hogberg made his list of twenty personal and business freedoms lost under Obamacare. As the 2000 plus page legislation continues to be researched and debated in public and  the court systems, many more freedoms will be surrendered to the Progressive Nanny State.
