There’s No Crying in Soccer

Any real baseball fan knows that the Tom Hanks line in A League of Their Own –>”There’s No Crying in  Baseball” is incorrect. There is plenty of crying in baseball from little league all the way into Professional levels. However, it seems there truly is no crying allowed by children during soccer matches.

I love most sports but a sad fact about media driven modern sports, is that a considerable amount of crowd/fan violence has grown into the base of each sports fans. Fan violence has become a frequent “Stupid is as Stupid does” part of sporting events. It has become a curse upon the soul of all sports at all levels of competition. And the sport of soccer is the worst of the worst when it comes to fan violence. I was just reading a QCOnline article about a truly despicable act of violence connected to the current World Cup of Soccer series.   The article states  a father in Texas beat to death a 2year-old child for crying while he was watching the World Cup of Soccer. Any form of fan violence connected to sporting events is obsessive. Killing someone over events related to a sporting events is beyond lunacy. Events like this one shake my hardline belief against the death penalty.

A Moment of SCOTUS Sanity

In a moment of sanity the Supreme Court of the United States of America ruled against the City of Chicago’s complete ban on hand guns. Evidently the ruling does leave an opening for limited restrictions. With the SCOTUS ruling, they have struck a blow against tyrants and tyrannical groups like the Chicago Daley Machine that seeks to leave the average citizen at the mercy of gun-toting criminals and the strong arms tactics of a police state. If the Daley Machine had its way the city of Chicago, the State of Illinois and the whole USA – would be restricted from owning any firearms that they could use to protect self, family and property. It wouldn’t surprise me if the Daley-like nanny-state statists around the country tried to take away our right to drive. After-all you stand a whole hell of a lot bigger chance of getting run over by a moving vehicle than getting shot.  Following this SCOTUS ruling, it would not surprise me to see the Obama tax-the-bullets until the poor people cannot afford them legislation suggestion, to reappear.  The fight against tyrants seeking to steal away the gun ownership rights afforded to citizens through the Second Amendment seems to be a never ending battle!

Rod Blagojevich Big Top Court Circus Continues

The Rod Blagojevich Big Top Circus has been moved into the Trial Phase for a couple of weeks. Interesting facts continue to appear, while others seem to inconspicuously slip through the cracks. Despite a judgment that Barack Obama’s presence was an unnecessary factor at the trial – Questions about the Obama/Chicago Machine/Blagojevich connections continue to surface. Following are some interesting quotes and excerpts from an Illinois Statehouse News article posted at QCOnline.

(Obama’s) gonna resign on Tuesday or Wednesday and they’re gonna start putting pressure (to fill the seat),” Blagojevich told his chief of staff, John Harris, on Nov. 7.

Blagojevich and his advisers had been in frequent contact with Service Employees International Union vice president Tom Balanoff. Harris described Balanoff as Obama’s emissary to the former governor, but noted the close relationship the labor leader shared with Blagojevich as well.

The governor hoped Balanoff and Obama could arrange a lucrative position for his wife or himself at Win for Change, a political action arm for the union, according to Harris.

“The SEIU provides a buffer between Rod and Obama…meaning Obama would not have…an obvious quid pro quo for Valerie,” Harris explained to the jury.

It seems evident from these excerpts that the recent Joe Sestak event was no coincidence as Obama was already trying to use power play politics to influence who would be a part of Congress before he even took the office of POTUS.

It seems also very clear that just as some political pundits have suggested, that SEIU has been acting in questionable  political roles for Obama. From the sound of the testimony and tapes added to some of SEIU’s past actions involving harassing/attacking Tea Party citizens, it could be assumed that the union is playing  enforcers/brokers/buffer for Obama when he needs Chicago Style Political Thuggery tactics used. Someone remind me again – just why isn’t Obama a key witness in this political circus trial! And for that matter shouldn’t key members of SEIU along with their books, e-mails and other correspondences be included in this spectacle? And maybe there are some White House tapes we should be listening to or have seventeen minutes or more of them gone missing?

Though the current trial is almost totally about Blagojevich’s attempt to profit from Obama’s vacated Senate seat – it seems that the Blagojevich connections -through Illinois State Senate leader Emil Jones and  Blago campaign fundraiser Tony Rezko- to the Chicago Daley Machine, which Obama was a big part of, have been swept under the carpet.  Think just maybe, there was some heavy political pressure to keep those connection as far away from the trial as possible, to keep Obama distanced from the current Blagojevich big top court circus? Those connections were best highlighted through the Hillary Clinton campaign and the Chicago Sun Times. Followings are some links to their previous concerns about the Obama connection to Rezko. Read them and then  remind me once again, as to why Obama is not important to the Blagojevich trial!

Is Obama Giving the Finger to USAmerican Citizens

If reports are correct, President Obama is once again turning to his thuggish Chicago Political Roots of political success through hook or crook. There  are unverified allegations spreading that Barack Obama is considering using the power of executive order; to give illegal aliens hiding inside the USA, a blanket amnesty–> if amnesty for illegal aliens legislation fails to pass through the Senate. I hope it is not true, but I figure either Obama or one of his minions is attempting to use this as leverage to pass a Senate legislation offering illegal aliens amnesty and citizenship. Wow -if true- that is a big White House -FU USAmerican Citizens, whom are overwhelmingly seeking just the opposite- whether he commits to the action or not. And just what actions would a blanket amnesty translate and commit the US towards? Blanket Amnesty- would be another Obama “Stupid is as Stupid Does Moment”.

Patients Bill of Rights

I was reading President Obama’s newly released “Patients Bill of Rights”.  My first look at the idea was favorable in general. I think most of the ideas would be a “real” step towards health care reform. Yet the Obama promise, as written, also looks to be just another big-top circus event perpetrated by Team Obama to reinforce the Frankenstein monster aka –> Obamacare. In the Obama  bill of rights – Team Obama says they want to do away with preexisting condition exclusions and annual/lifetime $$$ limits that put limits on medical coverage. Yet under Obamacare – they have already opened the door for government death panels to limit coverage and care based on medical service costs of treatment. Team Obama is once again talking out of both sides of their mouth at the same time. While I cheer the idea of a patients bill of rights – Team Obama is not selling the idea of patients rights – instead they are most likely trying to buttress Obamacare in an attempt to buy support and votes for the next election. Sadly, Team Obama still seems more interested in lies and political showboating than actually reforming health care. Under Team Obama’s new Patients Bill of Rights and Obamacare –> all animals are equal, but some animals will be less equal than others.

A Sign of the Times

Weeks back Harry Reid supporters attacked Tea Party members. Several days back Illinois Congressman, Phil Hare went all ballistic and attempted to vocally and politically bully a citizen attending a Hare town-hall session, who questioned his truthfulness.  More recently Democrat Congressman Bob Etheridge went commando against an individual with a camera at a political rally  and a campaign aide for Alexi Giannoulias, the Democrat candidate for the Illinois Senate to fill President Obama’s former seat, challenged a camera operator at a fundraiser.

These temper tantrums are the type of vocational professionalism the USAmerican voters can expect from these would be elected officials?  Are these political temper tantrums the sign of things to come as well as, the Democrat Party demonstration of its current election strategy?

Best Buy and Wal-Mart Retail Fail

A couple of recent retailer experiences make me wonder just how interested local retailers are in seeking business. In my twenty-nine+ years on this planet I have managed to gain a great deal of insight to the retail world. I have been involved on both sides of the retail universe – as a purveyor of goods and services and as a consumer looking to make purchases of those same goods and services. Today I thought I would poke a textual stick in the eyes of two of the current-wave of giant retailers- Best Buy and Wal-Mart.

A thing about retail is you should never promise goods or services that you can’t deliver. It makes for an unhappy customer who in turn tells the tale to at least nine of their friends and family. Such was/is the story about Best Buy. An individual I know went to purchase an appliance from them recently. They were looking to take advantage of the next day delivery they offered. In what was probably a combination of poor store planning and of poor salesmen competence – the appliance was incapable of being delivered the next day. (Now in all fairness to BB they were not the only Big Box Store incapable of delivering on the next-day delivery promise in this tale I am sharing,  BB is getting the stick in the eye because they closed the sale.)  Now I am laying the blame on both the Store and the Salesman because in the end they are the ones responsible on keeping the next-day delivery promise. In fact the best date they could offer was over a week past the order date. There are numerous reasons why they probably could not fulfill their swaggering claims. Some of those could include the stores overselling of a particular model, poor delivery scheduling, the stores decision to purposely limit stock of certain items (this one happens a lot on low profit items at Big Box retailers), the stores incompetence of keeping sales staff aware of inventory shortage or it could have bee the sales staff incompetence of by not staying aware of stock availability. Whatever the reason the – store failed at fulfilling their advertised promise. And to make matters worse their delivery service exasperated the problem. In what was supposed to have been a case of delivery, setup and haul away the old product – the promised setup (for a couple in their 80’s) never happened. Plus the delivery drivers had to be cajoled into hauling the old product away. From start to finish the sale was a total failure.

In an instance more close to home, I was shopping at Walmart a few days back. I was in the market for a new fan. I have an extensive history in setting up retail merchandise displays. A pattern I have noticed at the Big Box stores (even grocery stores) is what seems a lack of ability to create customer friendly displays. Perhaps one of my biggest gripes is walking into a store where they have failed to properly sign and arrange merchandise.  Walmart as well as most other Big Box Stores are atrocious at signing and arranging  merchandise for customer usefulness. Which is made even more exasperating because they use a minimum of sales associates to operate their stores. On that day their merchandising incompetence cost the local Walmart the sale of a high-velocity fan.  When I went into the store many of the items were not signed in any discernible manner. In my experience that has become common practice for Walmart as well as many other big box retailers.  The items I was looking at were not signed on the shelves or even marked with any way telling the price on the boxes they were contained in. We are talking a $70 fan and the store did not have the foresight or protocol to properly sign their merchandise in order to sell it. A real stupid is as stupid does moment for Walmart- that has become a constant occurrence.  That is an inexcusable failure of management at all levels.

When considering both retail events – all I can see is a colossal failure of management, at all levels of Best Buy and Wal-Mart! You have to ask yourself – in an overflowing market of retail stores – are the two Big Box Giants really interested in our business? They certainly are not acting as if they are interested in our business!

Cease, Desist and Surrender or I’ll Vomit on You

Illinois Carry held a ”right-to-carry”‘ concealed firearms rally on Saturday in Coal Valley. The group spoke to a crowd of locals seeking them to appeal to the State of Illinois Legislators about creating legislation to make it legal for citizens to carry concealed firearms for personal protection.  I personally think every citizen without a violent criminal history, should have the right to carry such weapons for personal protections.  Considering Chicago is always pressuring the rest of the Illinois legislators to create even stricter gun ownership legislation, the ability for Illinoisans to carry any weapon, other than a non-threatening in appearance water pistol -designed  for three-year old kids- could be a difficult legislative battle with legislators.  If it were up to the Chicago far left and other progressive factions of the Democrat Party, which basically runs our state, guns would probably be totally outlawed to own or even manufacture.  One speaker read the Illinois State Police suggestion, as listed on the IL State Police website,  to women for protection against attacks and/or rape. The officially listed recommendations were for women to carry either a comb or car keys for their protection. It was also suggested that that the women should consider inducing vomit as a response to being attacked. I am sure those  are exactly the methods members of the police would respond with, when faced with an attacker. Especially a violent attacker of superior strength and size. The next time the Police are face to face with an attacker they should just keep their weapons holstered and scream Cease, Desist and Surrender or I will projectile vomit, instead of their traditional cry of–> Stop or I’ll shoot! I suggest the Illinois State Police Officials should just let ‘em see how that packing combs, car keys while spewing chunks ideology -instead of packing heat- works out for for the officers on patrol, before they start suggesting it as the best options for  others!!!!!!!!!!!!!

FBI Releases ACORN Corruption Info

According to  a Capitol Confidential report, FBI documents released through the freedom of information act point more  incriminating fingers towards the ACORN HQ  as working as political activists for factions of the Democrat Party. The FBI documents has over one hundred pages of statements and notes concerning ACORN voter fraud and corruption. A House reform committee had also released an eighty-eight page stating that the evidence against ACORN was astounding. The FBI document asserted that ACORN workers were paid for voter registration cards even if they were fake. The character of the workforce was to treat the cards like a cash-cow revenue source. With all this negative information still leaking out about the group – which is in the process of recreating itself into several smaller groups under new name- you have to wonder–> Why does the Obama Justice  Department, under Eric Holder, refuse to launch an extensive  investigation into the illegal activities of the group and its leadership? I am sure that the longtime close ties to the group, by President Obama, have absolutely nothing to do with any Department of Justice lethargy in the matter.
