Stewart – Colbert Rally an Event of Truthiness

Pop star comediennes Stewart and Colbert took their political comedy to the road. They created what was sold as an effort to restore sanity to American politics through comedy.  Stewart is usually funny using a  “Early SNL” and “Not Necessarily the News“  style of political comedy. I find Colbert more talented but he can have a vicious routine that quickly turns me off.   I understand the event was big, though to steal a term from Colbert – the events stated purpose rings of  “truthiness“.

First off,  it is hard to restore something – that has never been.  Politics has never been a fuzzy and warm, exchange except in the minds of those whom prefer to cloud their memory with fairy tales.  It has only gotten worse following the siege of the major political parties by  Progressive Statists; mostly comprised of ambulance-chasing  lawyers and career politicians trained in the arts of wealth-inducing job security over statesmanship.  Until the Democrats and Republicans purge their organizations of the Progressive Statists – expect no resemblance of sanity in politics.

And most importantly; it is hard to believe the leftwing leaning Stewart and Colbert had had any intention of trying to restore sanity in politics when one of the headliners was Muslim voice Cat Stevens whom publicly defended the death warrant issued on author Salman Rushdie by Extremist Muslim Terrorist Clerics.  A real Stupid is as Stupid does decision by Stewart-Colbert. That is a vintage Barack Obama characteristic being displayed by Stewart and Colbert. Obama has surrounded himself with radicals, extremists and even former domestic terrorists as advisers – while pretending do be a peacemaker and a moderate, instead of the Marxist wannabe he actually is. Now Stewart and Colbert claim they are looking for sanity in politics – yet bring on a radical that defends mafia style hits by Muslim Extremists. Interesting – hard to take them serious. But then they are part of the Hollyweird extremist community. Hollyweird an organization of plastic people that live out their lives, pretending to be the real people they are incapable of being, and  not a group I normally find laudable when offering advice on life.

Was the event good comedy? Probably. Was it a meaningful liberal political statement? Maybe. Will it be great money-grubbing advertising  gimmick for Stewart and Colbert?  Definitely. But -Restoring Sanity- in politics, um… not so much! Just a couple of funny boys using “truthiness” to grab a little more ego-filling attention.

Sometimes (Common Vulgarity) Does Not Happen

Most of the issues I discuss tend to  be serious to semi-serious topics. On occasion they delve into the satire and ridicule that surround events that the media exposes of the commonplace Keystone Cop antics; US politicians pretend is their important mission in life. Sometimes I post about the comedy of personal life.  Today I am taking another walk down the personal road of blogging -in this case, another semi-comedic review of the trials and tribulations faced when you reach the age of 29+ years old-  thus my previous warning about adult content.

As I have stated before – once you hit the BIG 29+ – you learn to appreciate some of the everyday body mechanics taken for granted during the budding of youth. For those of us 29+ year-olds that remember him – George Burns aptly sang a typical life saga in his ballad “I Wish I was Eighteen Again”.  One thing becomes clearer as we reach 29+ the old adage – “Shit Happens”  begins a metamorphosis into  “Shit doesn’t happen”!!! In keeping with that train of thought here is another set of musings and introspection about the process of aging!

• Cooking from sumptuous meals from scratch becomes less common and replaced by fast-food takeout and convenience foods
• Fart sounds and their odor are no longer funny – just inconvenient
• The routine walk and trips to the gym are replaced by insincere anticipations of a better attitude tomorrow – more often than not tomorrow never comes
• Work becomes toil and a means of survival instead of an adventure in life
• Body parts can become suspect as they creak with the arrival of exertion issues -sometimes to the point of a complete labor stoppage
• You wonder how to transfer the hair from your chest and back to the top of your head
• You question your rituals of showering and shaving
• The formally unacceptable pattern of three-day stubble and faux-beards become acceptable grooming habits
• The morning mediation at the porcelain stool can become a struggle of faith
• The daily sacrificial offerings of meat, cheese and starches to the temple are supplemented and even replaced by more fibrous offerings
• The morning wood begins to uncontrollably sway in the wind
• The  body’s stature creates a shade no longer favorable to the fresh shrubbery that once flourished near its proximity.
• Sexy women are more fun to think about than actually chase and court
• The prose someone scribed on the bathroom-wall  “No matter how hot she is, someone somewhere is sick of her bullshit” becomes prophetic literature.
• The speed of life seems to accelerate exponentially towards the speed of light and you question how the time has disappeared.
• You find it less tiresome to write and blog from the comfort zone of your home -about the intrinsic of life- than actually taking part in face-to-face day-to-day battles while bumping uglies with the Grim Reapers of false prophets.

The Obama Bait and Switch

When Hillary Clinton fell out of favor with the puppet-masters that direct and produce the Democrat Party candidates during the 2008 elections, fortune fell with the footsteps of Barack Obama. The media has mostly worshiped him with blind devotion. Most still do despite his true nature of Chicago Style thuggish politics being exposed, including his constant machinations of subterfuge. His total disregard for the intelligence of voters is often displayed when his Big Government Socialism legislation turns out to be unpopular with the voting public.  The favorite mantra of Team Obama has become – “Evidently we just did not explain the program well enough. Once we explain it better, the public will like the legislation.”  That translates to–> “We need better spin, as our lies are not convincing enough the first time. The voters are  stupid enough that when we work on spinning our fairy tales, they will believe whatever we say.” As Obama progressive liberal cheerleader, Bill Maher, often states–> the people are too stupid to understand what is best for themselves and Obama just has to drag them along. So it should come as no surprise when Team Obama was just caught in another lie about the stimulus. I have to assume it is a lie because  everyone, especially the media, keeps telling us all about wonderfully intelligent Obama. It seems that Obama is now admitting that there were none of the  shovel ready jobs that Team Obama quoted over&over&over& over again when they were selling the idea of the need for a stimulus package. They just were not real items. In business that is called bait & switch – and is very illegal.  Instead the only visible  jobs have been boondoggle pork projects,  bribing consumers to purchase products, paybacks to secure nepotistic government positions that would have been cut, funding of unprofitable Global Warming Scare projects and overspending for lame attempts at creating market place labor. Team Obama has spent trillions of dollar to put the country back to work and has little to show for all out money spent except high unemployment. We didn’t even get a lousy T-Shirt that said this is what I got for a lifetime of government debt.

The View Rumbles with O’Reilly

And O’Reilly won the battle by TKO when the hosts cried No Mas – No Mas.

I am not all that familiar with Joy Behar.  The few times I have listened to her on those few times, when I watched the View – she left me as a  leftwing parrot, and excess baggage on an already mostly liberal filled talking show. On the other hand -though I tend to vehemently disagree with most of her liberal talking points- Whoopi  Goldberg has always impressed me as intelligent, articulate, tough in the clinches and funny. She makes a great talking head to bounce around philosophic banter between herself and Barbara Walters and Elizabeth Hasselbeck. So it surprised me when the talking got wild and woolly with Fox News talking head Bill O’Reilly on the View; Goldberg turned tail and left the stage following Joy Behar. It was not his first time on the show so she should have been aware he is also intelligent, articulate and very tough in the clinches when making his talking  point.

I only saw several clips, but the talk show turned into the verbal rumble when the O’Reilly interview turned to the building of the Mosque near Ground Zero of the 9-11 attacks by Muslim jihadists. Behar and Goldberg went all ballistic because O’Reilly kept calling the jihadists Muslims. Goldberg and Behar flew off the handle because O’Reilly kept referring to them as Muslims. Talk about losing their tempers over nothing! Once the quarrel started it was tough to understand the discussion. I like O’Reilly and he can be a verbal bully, he was absolutely correct in his talking points.  It was Muslims attacking the towers and most people do not want that mosque built near Ground Zero.  I had no expectations from Behar but I would have expected better decorum from Goldberg. I am not a Barbara Walters fan – but she was the one showstopper who kept her cool and still talked her points.

Legally,  I have not heard any legal  reason someone could not build the Mosque near Ground Zero. Personally, I think it is in poor taste building the Mosque near Ground Zero, in this situation. Still I live in Illinois not NYC. So I have no horse in the race when it comes to whether or not they build a Mosque near Ground Zero. But I do live in the Quad City and just as I feel that I have a right to speak-out against Team Obama locating terrorist prisoners, in a prison within easy driving distance from where I live – I think the final determination about where that Mosque is built, near Ground Zero, should be left up to the people living in NYC, since they are the ones whom it will effect.

Stimulus Boondoggles

Your Taxpayer Money through Stimulus Funding is  almost hard at work –>

• $3 plus million for a turtle tunnel.
• $21,000 dollar bathrooms in a park.
• $800,000 for a genital washing program in Africa.
• $356,000 to study kids perception of foreign languages.
• $550,000 for a skate-park.
• $11 million for a bridge connecting Microsoft campuses.

Nothing like government boondoggles funded by taxpayers when you need pork projects funded.

No Nude Quad City Women on the Internet?

In this age of the Internet – Porn rules these Al Gore created hallow airwaves.  And while we smalltime Joe-&-Jane Average Bloggers are posting our non-porn ideas spurring debate among a handful of readers: Porn Kings are raking mega bucks by showing pictures of naked men and women to audiences of  millions seeking sexual perversions. So it came as a shock when as I was perusing the word searches that leads citizens of the blog world  to my blog site, that the words “local women nude in qc Il” had led someone to my blog. So I did a search using the words and found my story about discrimination against a topless bar maid (not even in the Quad City area) listed as the number six selection, for the phrase. Huh! I guess I can add that to the phrase “Muslim women losing their Virginity” that also seems to draw sex seekers on my blog on occasion. It does makes me wonder if this blog is now on the fast track to becoming the next mega Porn site, despite having no dirty pictures or erotica stories. Or is it that there is a general lack of interest to see naked women from the QC – that makes my blog post on discrimination, show up number six on the list for that phrase?  Or, maybe I am missing out on becoming the next Porn King millionaire by not operating a blog site consisting of pictures of naked Quad City women and erotica about Muslim women losing their virginity? Maybe I should  set up links to all the local strip clubs and adult entertainment businesses in the Quad City Illinois/Iowa region? Maybe I should just go out and do some research at all the local adult sites searching for naked Quad City women and judge current naked Quad City women for myself? In my pre-29+ year old years there seemed plenty of them out there in real life, not sure about them being on  this Al Gore Invention thingy at the time. So many questions so little personal interest being generated to explore those possibilities. Maybe the best idea is to just go fix some chili for supper and then create some more cheap renewable  natural energy resources. Now that sounds like a plan!

Victory Mandates

The DCCC and Democrat power players like James Carville are constantly sending me e-mail correspondence seeking political donations. They are always begging for cash as they paint a picture of how they need my money to support their latest crusade against their opponent – the “evil Republicans”.  In one, many months back, they were  whooping and gloating about how the Democrat Politburo had crippled the Republican Party – to the point where the Democrat Party would rule politics in the USA, for the next forty years. Carville even wrote a book expressing his bravado. Now just a few weeks before the 2010 elections the Democrat Party is sweating bullets wondering if they will  be able to keep the Republican Party from retaking one or both Houses of Congress. Locally, Democrat Congressman Philobluster Hare -here in the extremely gerrymandered to elect Democrats 17th District of Illinois- is sweating bullets and spinning farcical yarns about his Superhero abilities. Excepting possible voter fraud or someone doping the water to remove the sanity of the the 17th District of IL voters, we should be rid of Philobluster – following this coming election. Nothing could be sweeter than the end of the Lane Evans-Phil Hare nightmare on Illinois. Nationally and worse for the Democrat Party – George Soros and his deep pockets of cash said he was getting out of the way of – what he felt was as upcoming Republican election avalanche.  The reality is that no one knows for sure just what the makeup of the US Congress shall be come next session.  But the Republican Party -which seemed down and out a little over a year ago- now seems to have a  much brighter future on the horizon.

My personal thoughts have not changed about the direction of US politics, much over the last couple of years. The more I see of our current  two-party system – the more I see the need for a real and viable third political party option. The closest is the Libertarian Party and in reality it is mostly a nonentity. In every survey I take I always seem to test out straddling the lines between Conservative and Libertarian. And I tend to mostly agree with those evaluations.  I do not see either Major Party satisfying my complete voting  essentials. So in the current two-party system I am left with choosing between the lesser of two evils.  I do know – I do not like the Progressive Liberal/Socialists – that have taken over the control of the Democrat Party. They have run off any real Conservative  influence inside the Democrat Party and its platform. Which over the last several voting cycles has left me with choosing mostly Republicans -some like John McCain, I would normally be hesitant to vote for.

One thing I have been spouting since I came to the blogging world – is that no matter the actual final voting totals – the winner, even if by a single vote will, claim it is an overwhelming mandate for their political party. That has become the nature of the beast when it comes to  modern politics. Which,  like the Hopium that spurred Carville to predict forty years of Democrat Party Control, is mostly senseless political swaggering. In my opinion, that swagger makes both Political Parties drunken and usually oblivious to what they are being told by the voters.  Yet after either party claims their Victory Mandate – the public pays the price as the Damn the Torpedoes/Full Speed Ahead Statists inside each party, go power mad. The current low job ratings of Obama is part of that very cycle.

I do hope the Republicans take control of one or both Houses in the coming election. Not because I think they will effect real change.  But until the Democrat voters and Republican voters eradicate the Statists controlling their parties after gaining political control – the US needs the balance offered by neither party controlling both the Executive and Legislative branches of the USA government.

Does Obama See Dead People

It is claimed by some individuals that they can see ghosts. The Chicago Political Politburo has made tombstone voting a political marketing scheme. Now it seems that the under the leadership of  President Obama, whom birthed and nurtured his political career among the tombstone voting Chicago Politburo, the government sent out multi-millions in stimulus money to around 72,000 dead  people. That is like winning the Illinois lottery. I guess the main question is does Obama see dead people? Is he now busy paying off his debt to tombstone voters for past or future elections with porkulous money? And just what do dead people need cash for in the afterlife? Hey- inquiring minds wanna know!
