The last couple of years I occasionally posted about how I noticed some area medical establishments were no longer accepting Medicaid due to the State of Illinois‘ poor track record in paying those in the medical industry. Recently I was at a local medical establishment and I noticed that they had a sign up that stated – due to the State of Illinois slow payment system as well as their often denial of claims, any employee of the State, using the State of Illinois CIGNA plan, must pay for all services before treatment, then personally file any claims with Illinois/CIGNA services. Ouch! Illinois strikes again! And yet the voters continue to keep voting in these same Snake-oil Salesmen whom fleece the electorate over and over again. Stupid is as stupid does and there is a lot of stupid going on in the deadbeat Illinois government. And the silence from the watchdogs supposedly protecting the state and the nation (the media) is deafening.

Yes it is a long post, even for me! Yes it contains my bizarre humor, satire and hyperbole. If you like it, enjoy. If not, I’m easy like a hooker, just go buy tickets to Bill Cosby, because once he is gone – finding quality comedy will be like looking for water in the desert. All the rest pale in his shadow.
I was reading the dead-tree version of QC Online, the Dispatch/Argus and read where the chosen one, Cheri Bustos, will actually compete in debate with her challengers. Of course the appearance will give her the advantage of home court, considering the venue’s – WQPT Public TV -, connections with the state/local Democratic Politburo Powers That Be. The paper was asking for questions to be sent in for the candidates, that debate selection committee could consider asking during the debate. With that in mind here is my almost-psychic scoundrely Fantastic Voyage miniaturized version of the possible Debate Questions for the candidates; sans candidate replies, to protect the not so innocent among them. (Hey make-up your answers if you absolutely need them. They are probably as good as you would come away from the debate with.) let the (fantasy) debate begin.
Welcome everyone with the first round of questions we will start with Mr. Gualrapp.
DM (Debate Moderator): Mr Gualrapp in your decision to run for the Congress you stated your agenda was to bring jobs back to economically challenged Northwestern Illinois.
In order to display to the voters, your knowledge of what it takes to inhibit, stop and reverse the Rust Belt pattern of the 17th district of Illinois; please explain pros and cons of the Keynesian economics theories versus more classical theories such as Say’s Law. In your answer please include your preference and how you would lead our dysfunctional Congress to implement the changes necessary to right our sinking ship? To help you with your display we have included a practical Buhl 90 series overhead projector and marker. You now have 90 seconds to respond.
As a member of the House of Representatives you might be called upon to make important decisions involving our military technology and funding for such – so could you explain, using the applications of special relativity, the advantages of accuracy offered in modern day missile technology versus the carpet bombing methodology used in past warfare. We have included a a genuine Glenn Beck Chalkboard to help you with your explanation. You now have 90 seconds to respond.
Hare err. I mean Bustos, alarmist detractors, including several posters on QCOnline articles, have inferred that like your predecessor, Phil Hare, though slightly more attractive – you seem a cold, political, and calculating loose canon placed on a short lease by the Dick Durbin worshiping Rock Island Politburo; plus during your time servicing East Moline you often voted to increase taxes on an already struggling region- including five votes to raise the water/sewer rate. So that you may display to those detractors that you are not the tax and spend puppet many believe you to be, please answer the following difficult and tricky question.
If you are charged $70 for an overnight visit at a local hotel and the city charges a 12% hotel tax on top of the base, what will be the total cost for your nightly stay – excluding meals, masseur, extra amenities or mini-bar charges that you can charge to your government expense account. Due to the difficulty of this question we have placed a Del Inspiron 17R series laptop computer with 17″ screen, a 2nd gen Intel® Core™ i7 processor, 1TB hard drive, and upgraded graphics we have also installed Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Power Point and One Note software for your convenience and Internet access. Due to the complexity of this question we will allow as much time as needed to calculate your answer.
Candidates thank you for your responses. Though we were sadly disappointed in the brevity of the answers to Mr. Gualrapp’s and Mr. Aguilar’s questions, which led to an incomplete understanding of how voters can hope for them to represent them in the US Congress. Ms. Bustos your response of $78.40 was exactly correct – we realize that your question was extremely difficult, but due to the time constraints of this televised debate a quicker response would have been preferable. Round two is coming up and the questions may be pointed toward personal strengths and/or liabilities and probably will be slightly more difficult. You may continue to use the equipment we provided in the first round. We will start round two with Mr. Aguilar.
DM: Mr. Aguilar we know that you are active in solving the challenges represented by the undocumented immigrant issues in the region. We considered that one helpful solution might be for citizens of the US to embrace the spirit of Magellan, Columbus and early American pioneers, which would create more opportunity for naturalized citizens as well as immigrants seeking new lives and/or asylum from ruthless dictators like Castro and Chavez. For your next question we would like you to figure out the costs of materials, energy and labor – plus the time scale needed to assemble exploration and colonization of the newly found planet Kepler-22b. Please include an advertising cost factor for promoting this exploration and colonization to the US Citizens and interested immigrants. We have added a slide rule to your accessible tools to perform any needed calculations. Due to the slightly more complexity of this question we will give you an extra 30 seconds of time added to your original 90 seconds. You may start now.
DM: Mr. Gualrapp despite the fact that Dickey Durbin has endorsed your competitor, Ms.
Hare err. Bustos and then attempted to intimidate you, and now independent candidate Eric Reyes, out of the competition – many are still worried that if elected, your past association with Durbin may have a negative influence on your ability to fix the economy of the 17th district of Illinois. To assuage the worries of possible voters please answer the following business oriented question. The media has reported that the Chinese are planning to construct a moon base in the near future, possibly as soon as 2020. Some individuals are claiming that this is a land grab move by China in response and made possible by the US decision to cut back on its space program. Our question to you is; in a John Kennedy/Lyndon Baines Johnson approach layout a clear and precise financial plan that will get the US back into the space race to establish our own colonies and manufacturing bases on the Moon as well as Mars. As with Mr. Aguilar we will give you an extra 30 seconds for this question.
DM: Well I am afraid the last two answers were once again, disappointing. We had really expected better from two such distinguished candidates. We are looking forward to Ms. Bustos’ enlightened answers to renovate this debate.
Ms. Bustos many of the voters are worried that you are inexperienced and nothing more than the remodeled version of your predecessor Politburo Puppet Phil Hare and his extremist views that mirror the Chicago Machine Politics that has crippled the State of Illinois financially. With this question we would like to offer you the chance to display to those voters you are not just another mindless puppet whose dance strings are being pulled, by Extremist Left Wing power Brokers, while repeating their endless spin. Your question is as follows; Lingerie – Victoria’s Secret or Fredrick’s of Hollywood? You may use the laptop and software and Internet connection we made available to you to construct your answer. Like Alex Trebek – We realize the importance of phrasing your answer in the proper form, so please take all the time needed to offer up an elegant response to enchant our viewers.
DM: Well thank you Ms.
Hare, err. (I keep messing that up) Bustos for a truly enlightening response to our questions. We had planned another round of questions but due to the time constraints we will be forced to cut this debate short. Like Jerry Springer, we would like to leave you with our last word:
Voting, though it could be said it is mostly an Un-American practice, is an important right of US citizenship. And for those who do practice the hobby of voting – it is important that voters educate themselves about each candidate (hmm, another mostly Un-American practice) rather than being influenced to cast their vote by advertising gimmicks and Political Party pandering and/or organizational arm-twisting (a definite American Tradition). So we would like to end this debate with a line from a John Denver song. Some Days are Diamonds, Some Days are Stone. We know the Truth is Hard to Come By, and this debate was definitely an analogy of those John Denver lyrics. As impartial media personalities we can tell you to go out and place an educated vote but we cannot tell you how to vote. Still as the song says; Sometimes the cold wind leaves a chill in our bones and some of tonight’s responses did so. We would like to thank all the candidates for showing up to this debate. We would also like to thank Ms.
Hare, err. (I am sure I will get this right before the fall elections) Bustos for her progressive thoughts on the very tough questions we pressed her with. We would also like to give a huge hug and kisses to the Rock Island Democratic Politburo for allowing her to compete in this objective arena. Goodnight and Good luck from TV land! Vote Chicago Style -> Vote Early and Vote Often!

I have noticed that as the upcoming March Democrat Primary nears; a hazy media silence has spread throughout the Quad City area of 17th Congressional District, when it pertains towards Democrat candidate news. There has been the occasional voice out of the wilderness challenging the status-quo-aristocracy that has become both Local and State Political Primary Democrat dogmatic practices. What little news printed by the media has mostly been rah-rah from the Union Plutocracy and “Good Old Boys Network”of current and former ranking Democratic Politburo Members offering their holy affirmation of the current Politburo chosen one – Cheri Bustos (judging from comments, pretty much done deal since June of 2011). Those have included both the eight wisemen worshipers of local political politburo politics, as well as a high ranking Commissar of Illinois Politburo Politics – Dick Durbin. The most recent challenge to the Democrat Politburo practice of preselecting and anointing political candidates was a plea to the local media, in the form of a letter to the editor requesting the voting constituency to vote for candidate Greg Aguilar.
The only real dustup to date, seemed back in December; when after Candidate Cheri Bustos tried to incite the electorate by using Party Dogma Flame tactics, her former Democrat challenger -now turned independent challenger- Eric Reyes challenged her partisanship bickering. Independent Candidate Reyes statement (hmm, a very difficult to find internet search of QC media sources!) is probably one of the few sensible declarations we will probably here – from any Democrat or Republican candidate from now through the fall elections. Considering the political dogma from her press statements, he is 100% correct on Bustos. Considering what little Bustos has espoused since her anointment has been nothing but partisanship rhetoric, I can only assume that she is basically past Quad City Politburo Political Puppet Phil Hare in a dress.
An interesting quote from Reyes reminded me of the original Quad City Politburo anointment of Phil Hare as Lane Evans replacement as our representative. When Evans announced his retirement, the anointed one, Phil Hare, was challenged by then Rock Island Mayor, Mark Schwiebert and Galesburg teacher Rob Mellon. After the selection, not election, of Democrat Politburo Rhetoric spewing Philobluster Hare- some of the politburo faithful began to giggle and chuckle at how Mellon and Schwiebert had been given the Smack Down by the Quad City Democratic Politburo and made to kiss the ring of then Chairman John Gianoulis for daring to challenge the will of the Politburo selection of Hare. Candidate Reyes made the following statement to the media:
“Over the past several weeks, I have been told to expect a call from a certain U.S. senator who has apparently forgotten that his loyalty should be to his constituents,” Mr. Reyes said Tuesday. “Perhaps I never got that call because he figured out that I am a man of principle and would not have dropped out of the race no matter how many different ways he told me that after this election I’d have no future in public service.”
Considering that statement and that there seems little, if any, coverage of any challengers to Bustos; John Gianoulis may be dead and no longer the current carnival barker of local politics, but his legacy of media-silencing and bitch-slapping challengers to Quad City Politburo decisions seems to live on. And Phil Hare may have been kicked to the side of the road by voters, though not before seeking to employ all his friends and relatives to taxpayer funded government positions, but the Democratic Politburo has decided to attempt force feed voters a Phil Hare clone, Politburo Dogmatist Cheri Bustos. And as during the original anointment of Philobluster Hare–> the continued years of media silence, is deafening! Some things never change in politics and among the so-called modern media watchdogs -supposedly watching out for the public.
On Wednesday Illinois Governor Pat Quinn signed legislation eliminating the death penalty as a form of judicial punishment. Many State Officials and Prosecutors disagree with the elimination of capital punishment as a legal penalty. I have read some prosecutors also claim it will weaken their plea-bargaining power when dealing with murderers. Personally, I applaud the legislation. As I stated early on in my blogging experiences: I think that the capital punishment option is a highly flawed process and in reality is nothing more than a form of legal revenge used to satiate possible angry lynch mobs. Most murders are crimes of passion and capital punishment does nothing to deter those types of crimes. I am staunchly against the death penalty – except in all but the most heinous crimes such as terrorist acts like the Oklahoma City bombing. My personal opinion is that we should instead make part of judicial punishment – to require the guilty individual to submit to extensive medical studies, so we can try and find out what makes these people tick. Perhaps then we could find a way to identify and limit the origin of similar evils.

Or at least that seems to be the latest ruling from the Illinois justice system towards the man -Rham Emmanuel- whom was seemingly on the fast track to become the next sovereign majesty of the city of Chicago, Illinois. In a 2-1 decision, the courts ruled against Emmanuel stating that he did not meet residency requirements. Ruled off the ballot – Emmanuel has less than four weeks to file his appeal and get back on the ballot, if he wants his grubby controlling hands juggling any State & Federal Aid destined for Chicago – not to mention being first in line with his hands out for all that lovely graft money which comes with being King $hit of Chicago. Feel pity for those judges that just ruled against Emmanuel, should he manage to secure his position of royalty in Chicago. Even before any election it is easy to guess that Emmanuel is busy sitting in some dark office creating his enemy lists, crossing out their names, then stabbing the list, while screaming death to this one or that one. You also have to assume that those judges will be at the top of any Emmanuel enemies list once he is seated on his Chicago throne.

Thursday was the two-year anniversary of my first posts on Samaritans Scalawags Scoundrels Fleecing the Sheep. So I did what any good scoundrel would do: I took the day off and spent the day taking it easy, swilling Mt. Dew and failing to catch the pretty women I was chasing!
I read the other day about how US voters were convinced that Barack Obama could turn the US financial crisis around. I laughed and then I cried . Has there ever been a more ironic yet cruel joke played on the US voters!!! No there has not! Barack Obama has been an integral part of the State of Illinois government at both State Levels and Federal levels for over a decade. The State of Illinois legislation has been controlled by veto proof Majority Democrat rule for even longer. The governor of our state, whether Democrat or Republican, has owed his soul to the Chicago Cabal for as long as I can remember. This is the same group of Chicago Politicians from which newly elected USA President, Barack Obama, developed his political career amongst. These are the same politicians that are hooked up with current Illinois Governor, Rod Blagodabitch in driving our State towards bankruptcy. Theses are the same financial wizards that have this State owing it’s creditors over Four billion dollars and that is expected to top five billion dollars in unpaid debt by spring. The same groups of politicians that have pushed our state so far in the red that companies that serve the needs of Illinois such as medical service for the needy and feeding prison inmates are considering no longer doing business with the State of Illinois. This is nothing new. This debt has been building for years upon years. Our state has financially struggled even when the rest of the nation was doing well. At this point we are so deep in debt that we cannot afford to pay our bills yet Gov. Rod and the Democrat Oligarchy wants to expand entitlements to illegal aliens in an attempt to solidify our designation as a sanctuary state. And what has Barack Obama been doing all these years? Just going with the flow and voting whatever way Blagodabitch’s right hand man and Obama mentor, Emil Jones, told him to vote. So excuse me if I find it terribly ironically funny yet extremely depressing at the same time, since the mindless sheep that voted in Obama believe he has the capability to turn around our Nation’s financial problems. He could not even help turn around the problems the State of Illinois has. The only real thing he has to offer is his phony and empty messages of hope and change. May God help us -because the Barack Obama legacy of financial wizardry during his Illinois tenure screams useless as teats on a boar.
If the news wires are right and we are not experiencing another Dewey Defeats Truman event, then Barack Obama will select Joe Biden as his Vice Presidential running mate for his 2008 run. (I wonder how Joe’s hair plugs are handling all the stress? They must be getting pretty old by now. Maybe he will need another round of hair transplants before the National Election.) Gee this is just a short time after Biden claimed he was not the chosen one! Guess you cannot rely on a politicians’ statement if Biden is the chosen ones, his royal holiness Pope Obama, Papal Assistant. Not being part of the holy ones jester court, I will not be getting a text message to confirm the Biden choice. I will instead be waiting for the proto-writing version of the message, for total confirmation. Biden does bring the Washington experience to the ticket Obama lacks. But Biden is also proof of the lack of real change in Obama’s campaign. Biden, who like Obama votes lockstep Democrat party line, is just further proof that an Obama ticket is just more of the same gridlock between Republicans and Democrats we have been experiencing for decades, since neither candidate Obama or Biden has shown an ability or interest of really working across party lines. No surprise there. Types of politicians that display an ability to work across the political aisle are as rare as hens teeth! On a more interesting note, maybe Obama is expecting to be able to earn a masters degree in plagiarism from Master Plagiarist Joe Biden by picking him as his running mate.
On a sadder note I am sure Bill Clinton is crying his eyes out in deep despair at this announcement. After already being the first Black president, I am sure Bill was secretly holding out hope Obama would select Bill to be the first Black Vice President. Plus unless Obama were to win and give Bill a cabinet post, Bill would not have much opportunity for nailing White House Interns. It must be a sad-sad-sad day for Bill Clinton!
According to a Dispatch/Argus article Illinois State Senate President, Emile Jones, is set to retire. Well that almost breaks my heart–> ! (PAUSE!) Whew. Sorry but I had to wipe the tears of laughter from my face! Jones is just another in the group of political thugs, out of the Chicago region, that is destroying this state. He is also the strong arm thug of our hopefully soon to be residing in a State Penitentiary, Governor Roddy Blagodabitch. Now Jones will no longer be there to protect Uncle Roddy’s derrière. Awe shucks! Of course you have to wonder what Emile will being doing with all his free time. I suppose he could just fade away. Or maybe he return to what he knows best, soliciting and strong-arming other politicians except he will be in the public sector. Perhaps he figures the stench from the Gov will be rolling his way and he feels he needs a head start to stay one step in front of prosecutors. Or maybe he has decided to write another Chapter in his mythological creation called Barack Obama! So Emile – So long – Farewell – Good Riddance to another Chicago Rat – Leave Quickly – Don’t Let the Door Hit You in the Ass thus Requiring Another Object to be Disinfected and do not forget to stop and pick out your adjoining prison cell with Gov. Roddy and former Gov. Ryan. Maybe you can all play cards together to pass the time away. Maybe your fictional character Barack Obama could come visit and even stayover a few nights while sharing a cell with you and the Gov.
(Thanks to QC Examiner for the link!!)
As if the State of Illinois could afford it, we taxpayers are about to have to come up with another $80,000 to pay for another special legislative session. All of this is courtesy of Governor Rod Blagojevich and the Illinois State legislatures’ power struggle over budget allocation. Factor in that our Governor and current Illinois Legislature creates Enron-like magical bookkeeping budgets –> it makes future IL Dept. of Corrections Inmate Rod Blago’s prediction of a hefty tax increase after the fall elections very believable. Of course what makes this all the more obscene is that following national fall elections we will probably have one of their own inept Illinois Legislative Cronies in Crime, Barack Obama, sitting in the POTUS Catbird seat playing hide-n-go seek with the federal budget.
