Bush-Obama War in Iraq Begins its Fade into History

As the war in Iraq comes to a close, President Obama continues to display his post-2008 election of hawkish Iraq ideology that basically followed the George W. Bush wartime doctrines. According to a Josh Gerstein article on Politico, Obama -the man elected in 2008 by using a Bash Bush about the Iraq War strategy- is quoted as saying “History will judge the original decision to go into Iraq…” .  Huh! That sure sounds like familiar dialogue. I know I have heard that before. Wait – I said that in numerous heated discussions on the Internet as well as in real life, during the heights of Bush Bashing by the Bush Deranged and way before Obama even announced his Presidency. Hell some of our most historically revered political leaders were  loathed while in office by the public, politicos, media and historians for their military decisions. I previously argued and I still stand by my original reflections; it doesn’t matter what I or anyone else currently thinks about the political ethics and reasoning guiding this country during the war in Iraq – history will be the final judge.  And that judgment will most likely swing like a pendulum depending on which politicos, media personalities and historians are in vogue. The pendulum swinging will eventually slow down until the inertia of its pulse is barely visible and then and only then -after the most contentious of the arguments have faded- will history make a final decision about the Bush-Obama Iraq War. Though it is exceptionally strange and unnerving to see a left-wing socialist wannabe ideologue, like Obama, channeling my conservative/libertarian theScoundrely thoughts. He still won’t get my vote!

The Sounds of Silence

The last of the US Navy Seals wrongfully put on trial –> has been found not guilty, just as his predecessors. These military men  were  robustly accused of brutality to a captured Iraqi terrorist and  savagely persecuted by leftwing howlers and relentlessly hassled by the Obama worshiping  mainstream media. The Bush Deranged  Howlers along with their lapdog media were looking for someone, anyone that they could prosecute and persecute as a symbol against George Bush and the Iraq War . Those quick to convict the men even tried to get them to plead out and avoid any kind of a trial. The mob was not interested in justice or even to know if the men were guilty – they just wanted blood! The Seals chose to stand and fight their accuser and the lynch-mobs seeking to persecute them. Now that they have all been exonerated – the silence from the accusers is deafening! Where are all the mea culpas from those pundits and the mainstream media seeking to lynch the accused without a trial! I suspect some of the media will run a mea culpa story hidden in some darkened attic corner of their periodical near the classified sections. But mostly all we will hear are the sounds of silence.

Obama the Not So SuperPresident

The Obama-stoned US media is still doing the grunt work of promoting the Barack Obama image. Evidently they feel need that everybody must get stoned. The latest advertising was by CNN analyst, Bill Schneider, whom posed the question: Is Barack Obama the superpresident? Lol the suggestion is not established with the information contained in his article. Obama despite riding in on a huge wave of anti-Bush popularity has approval numbers very similar to the average. According to the CNN article Obama is at a 63% approval rating while the average for the last six presidents was 61%. The article seems to defend the superpresident premise by stating that where Obama stands out is in personal qualities. So what he is saying is that Obama is all-charming – just as the False Prophet of hope and change should be. ROFLMA that does not make Obama the “Right Stuff” as President! His Domestic and Foreign policy dealing lacks substance. I think my dogs have great personal qualities (much better than Obama has to offer) but I wouldn’t want them as my president either. And unlike Obama, my dogs would not play kissy-face with dictators and terror sponsoring countries.

I am no fan of European opinion but I notice that some of the Obama weak sister actions are starting to get noticed overseas. The Con COughlin/UK Telegraph article points out what many of us not captivated by Obama’s charm have already predicted. While Obama plays self-promotion games and bashing the Bush administration and the USA for all the worlds evils with the fawning US media in tow – our enemies are making serious gains in power. One of the biggest whines I heard from the Bush Deranged when we became entangled in Iraq was that Bush allowed himself to get distracted from the goal of eradicating the terror movements like Al Qaeda. Now it seems Obama is just as content kissing up to dictators and tyrants while terrorist groups are making power plays as he labors to secure his media darling image. No surprise there for a president that is proclaimed to be a superpresident by the media based on his charm and not his ability to solve problems.

War on Terror Directional Beacons

The past and future of the war on terror recently saw some directional guidance beacons posted along its pathway.

Ari Fleischer admitted–> that in retrospect that Iraq did not have the WMD capabilities that the Bush administration thought it did. Of course as is always the case – hindsight usually has 20/20 vision. Personally I never cared if they found WMD’s or not. Most of the world thought Iraq had WMD capability – including most of the USA government. Saddam Hussein wanted the World to think he had WMD’s and did a very good job of selling the idea to everyone. My philosophy is – if someone tells me that they are pointing a loaded weapon at me – I will believe them until I can prove it one way or the other. Saddam Hussein was not going to let us prove it one way or the other because he wanted everyone to think that he was armed to the teeth with WMD’s. When possible, it is far better to remove the threat than live in worry and possible danger. You do not wait around to see if your opponent’s gun is loaded or not. The only way we were ever going to know the facts on whether Iraq was pointing a loaded WMD gun was to do what we did – remove Saddam Hussein and his sons from power.

In another story relating to the war on terror – the Pentagon released it’s study on the treatment of prisoners of the war on terror being held at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. According to the study the prisoners are being treated humanely. In fact–> I feel they are probably better off than if they were returned to the war zone. At least with their current location, they are safe from the bombs, bullets, squalor and famine that accompany war torn regions. And as long as they are being detained at GITMO, they offer less threat to our troops than they do back in the war zones. And they get far better treatment than any individual –military or civilian- captured by the radical Muslim terrorists we are at war with. If it were up to me – we would just load them all up on a ship, dress them in burquas then dump them in the Arctic Sea and let them take a scenic swim home. We could even provide a Navy escort in case any ships attempted to intervene with their swim.

And finally in what I am sure is confusing the minds of the mesmerized Obamatons –-> the Obama administration has announced it will maintain the same Bush administration policy regarding prisoners of war being held by the US in Afghanistan. There Obama goes  designing his War on Terror strategy similar to the Bush War on Terror strategy. So much for those media championed anti Bush War messages. The Bush administration has long held that they are not entitled to any US Constitutional right to challenge their detainment. And the Obama administration states they will follow the Bush policy. Now that is a strategy that I can agree on with the Obama administration.

Barack Obama the House Negro

Joe Biden claimed our enemies would test Obama early. He was right. Heck they have not even waited until Obama has assumed office. It seems the number two man in charge of Al Qaeda, Ayman al-Zawahri, has declared Barack Obama a House-Negro. (I would bet Negro is probably not the exact slur al-Zawahri was going for.) Uh-Oh! As my late mother would have said -”Thems Fighting Words!” It looks like newly elected Prez Barack Obama gets zero respect from Al Qaeda. He will have to earn it on the battlefield. He also threatened Obama over his stated increased troops in Afghanistan policy by affirming that the Muslim fight would subsequently escalate in Afghanistan. Duhhhh! Gee I suppose that is almost a big surprise. Well it probably is to those that thought electing Obama meant an end to the current War. The only accomplishment the Obama led peaceniks along with the Democrat Party have created with their uproar over the Iraq War, is to move the War on Terror back to another location where we will have to reorganize our rattraps. Al Qaeda understands that. So they have thrown down the gauntlet in front of Obama to test his mettle. It is up to him how he responds like the peacenik he ran as early in his campaign or whether he is really the get tough guy that he morphed in to in the later stages of his campaign. And though I would not call Obama a house-Negro, he is what any politician that wins the Presidential nomination from the two-party system is – a political-party-puppet singing and dancing the party rhetoric as people behind the scenes pull all the strings. He will do just what his party tells him to do or he will be ostracized and hung up out to dry by his puppet handlers.

Barack Obama George Bush Jr. – Not So Different at War Edicts

A continuing Obama pattern I have noticed is that Obama was/is ranting against the war in Iraq and basically says – take out our troops immediately and just let the Iraqis kill each other off–> when the question comes up asking what happens when we leave. Yet whenever names like the Congo, Sudan or Rwanda -that are popular causes with the Hollywood crowd- Obama starts talking all-macho about using our troops in foreign countries, saying we need to use our troops to intervene. A favorite saying about McCain by the Obamanation is McSame by comparing him to George Bush2. Yet when you consider Obama’s stance on sending troops to foreign countries – it sounds like the real McSame is Obama! George Bush – Barack Obama, when it comes to using troops in conflicts across the Oceans they are two peas in a pod. Evidently I am not the only person that has noticed Obama’s willingness to be George Bush3.

Why the Iraq War was Inevitable

I have stated before that I personally felt that though we “may or may not” have entered into the Iraq War prematurely, war with Iraq was inevitable as long as Saddam Hussein and/or his Sons were in charge of the country. However today rather than repeat and expand on my own assertions about why I thought the war was foreseeable and practically impossible to avoid I am posting a link to an article by author, lecturer and history instructor Arthur Herman where he extrapolates on various intelligence information, political circumstances and statements involving Presidents G. Bush Sr., W. Clinton, G. Bush Jr., their staff, US legislators and international events that produced Herman’s reasoning on why he felt war with Iraq was inevitable. I do not know much about the author but I actually agree with much of his reasoning and some of it is very similar to my individual viewpoints concerning the events leading to the current Iraq War. On topic and civil comments or discussion -critical or supportive- about the information contained in the Herman article are always welcome.

Why the Iraq War was inevitable article link.

Sorry but due to my schedule for the next few days, comments may not show up as soon as normal. :-(
