Famous Hollywood Director Defends Incest – Love Who You Want

The bastion of Progressive ideology – Hollywood, which uses it various media formats as propaganda to push progressive philosophy morally and politically, especially on Television and in the Movies- has another member of the Hollywood Elite -Nick Cassavetes- aggressively promoting the sexual deviancy of incest to protect  and promote his theatrical work. In a recent interview he equates incest with homosexuality; as a non-judgmental sexual lifestyle. Personally I find the idea of incest – a perversion boundary that is unacceptable to cross. It is a practice widely used in plant and animal breeding. I suppose in a Nietzschean philosophy you could use the survival of the fittest as reasoning.  But then I am a traditionalist and find most modern alternate sexual activity as incorrect behavior. Society has become legally and morally acceptant to many alternate sexual activities – that in the past were considered morally repugnant. One time, long ago, in a discussion seeking to flame the conversation I posed a similar statement to Mr. Cassavetes. And though I personally have problems with incestuous relationships – while Mr. Cassavetes compares incest with homosexuality, if you consider many of the other modern sexual fetishes – casual sex , open marriages and relationships, hotwifing and cuckolding practices- which can include pregnancy risk activities;  plus medical practices where artificial insemination has created individuals that have biologically fathered multiple children -in at least one case over 150 children; how far off can Mr. Cassavetes be in his justification of consanguineous relationships? Will there be a day in the near future where the GLBT organization becomes the GLBTI organization. I hope not but them I am a traditionalist. If so I sure Hollywood will be even more openly riding to the rescue of incestuous relationships.

March 14 an Esoteric Holiday

Despite my extensive 29+ years on this planet, I still stumble upon events or items that I had never heard of. The latest event I learned of when opening my email box, was an obscure, perhaps even esoteric holiday. It seems that today March 14 is celebrated by some individuals as the male emulation of Valentines Day -called Steak and Blowjob Day. Evidently San Diego celebrates a similar, yet individualistic holiday on March 20 – they call Steak and Knobber Day! Perhaps it’s a Navy thing. Well I don’t think anyone is going to get a legal paid holiday for the event – so pardon my ambivalence and disinterest towards either obscure holiday, other than to admit my total ignorance that some would be shallow enough to attempt creation of such a holiday. In all fairness -at least for theScoundrel- to even know that these holidays pretend existence is TMI!

Illinois Treasure Hunt – Legislator Wants a Vice Tax on Strip Clubs

Illinois legislation just doesn’t learn from its mistakes. They have spent decades making the State of Illinois unfriendly to high-paying manufacturing  jobs to the point - that companies still considering US locations, like Caterpillar Inc, for building industrial plants turn and run the other direction. So the State has had to begin to rely on tourist and entertainment venues to replace the lost income.  Traditionally those industries do not offer workers as lucrative salaries as the manufacturing jobs they are replacing. That means less money for the workers  and less income tax revenues for the State. So you would think the State would be seeking to avoid over taxation of those industries, especially the few that pay their workers on a scale similar to those industries that the State has run off. Nope, My Bad,  this is Illinois where our State legislators looks to milk every nickle and penny possible from any industry fool enough to locate inside the State.

In a a legislative treasure hunt -hidden inside a worthy cause- Illinois State Senator Toi Hutchinson seeks to add a $5 per customer pole (vice) tax to strip clubs around the state, to help fund rape crisis centers and other sexual assault assistance organizations. She stated that her reasoning for singling out strip clubs was: “If you’re going to sell sex and alcohol, then bad things sometimes happen, I’m hopeful they’ll work with me to take some of the stink off their name.” Bad things happen. Why yes they do. However strip clubs are just one of many entertainment sources that promote sex and/or alcohol. But that is hardly a reason to identify Strip Clubs as the source to dam a river of human evils created by numerous tributaries. Perhaps she should start adding a $5  per person vice tax to stores that sell Playboy, Hustler, Penthouse and a host of other adult oriented magazines. Those tend to get heavily sexually graphic and suggestive. Most, also  contain stories intended to stir-up the human libido. Since I mentioned stories -why is she neglecting bookstores and libraries across the State from this tax. Many of he books in both institutions contain sexually graphic material, some also contain sexually violent content.  And don’t forget lets hit all stores that sell or rent mainstream movie videos rated above a “G” rating with that vice tax. Movies and their ratings have evolved to the point – where sexually charged material can even be seen in movies suggested for kids under 17. And many “R” rated movies have reached the point where in past years they would have been slapped with an “X” rating, now changed to a more PC title of “NC17″. Two easily come to mind. One, the highly touted Tom Cruise movie -Eyes Wide Shut- which was filled with Bondage/Sadomasochism references as well as hints of Snuff material. A more recent sexually charged movie release was the acclaimed Natalie Portman/Mila Kunis movie, named Black Swan. The psychological thriller was filled with a battle for a dancers soul between repressed sexual behavior versus hedonistic behavior. The movie contains a very explicit lesbian scene between Portman amd Kunis. Yet I have yet to hear Hutchinson call for a vice taxon theaters and stores that offer up the movie to the public.

Hutchinson went on to lament, well this is all about protecting women. Okay. But protecting women from what? There is nothing anymore sexually charging that happens in a strip club that you will not find with similar intent in any of the venues I mentioned. The what is the vice tax really about? It is about what all taxes are about – the government getting their hands on more money. It is about a possible 44 million dollars that state could get their hands on by taxing the industry. An industry that already makes big bucks for the State treasury through taxes and an industry where the workers actually make a better than average living wage. And if the tax were to be applied evenly it might even be salable as do-gooder intended. But the tax is explicitly aimed at one adult  industry; an industry that is easy to attack because of the sex stigmas that surround it. A stigma that is also a part of every other venue I mentioned. And though Hutchinson hints it is really all about providing services for abused women; knowing past Illinois history, we all know that is a pile of Bullcrap! Just like with the profits from the Illinois Lottery -which was sold as a way to rebuild Illinois Schools- the revenue from any vice tax would be placed into the general funds where legislator thugs would spend-spend-spend on their pet pork projects while the organizations needing the money would still be begging for the funds that were diverted away from their intended sources. Sadly, spin-spin-spin, next take-take-take then spend-spend-spend  is the Illinois way.

A Sign of the Times to Come?

An article on Time’s News Feed makes you wonder if the US is behind the times when it comes to protecting the USAmerican human gene pool from accidental incestuous breeding? According to the article tiny Iceland has created an  ancestry and genetic website that its citizenry is also using to weed out possible incestuous relationships. The old jokes about hillbilly marriage with their cousins immediately springs to mind. But in the more modern times of US sexual practices the chance for accidental incest is a very real danger. Perhaps one of the biggest dangers comes from the often used modern practice of artificial insemination for biological clock-ticking single professionals, straight and lesbian couples. It is estimated that as many as 60,000 children are born in the US yearly by sperm donors. And though the mothers are asked to report such births to the sperm banks – it evidently only happens 20% to 40% of the time. In one instance noted in an article, one man had fathered 150 children through artificial insemination. A study I read also suggested that of women with two or more children there was a 28% chance the children had multiple fathers. There is also the issue of mothers who refuse to register the name of their baby’s father for personal reasons. That does not take into account children fathered by sexual partners other than the husband, where the husband is automatically registered as the father on birth certificates. There are also cases where members of the male population think it is their duty in life to randomly repopulate the world with Mini-Mes, with as many different women as possible. There is even a growing sexual fetish that includes couples taking part in random partner breeding. While this all may seem incongruous , it certainly increases the likelihood of inadvertent and accidental incestuous relationships. I know this used to be a small concern for adults that were adopted as children, but with the increasing usage  of modern reproductive technology and the loosening of sexual mores – how do we balance the rights of personal privacy versus the risks of accidental inbreeding by offspring? Just roll the dice and gamble? It is the way it has been to date. Is the Icelandic model a sign of the times to come? I hope not. Perhaps what worries me even more, is that I can envision Nanny Statists in the Republican and Democrat Parties eventually using this issue as a reason to force a national DNA registry to track genetics of all USAmericans. A perfect foothold for Nanny Statists involved in the philosophy of eugenics.

Miley Cyrus – Stupid is as Stupid Does

Well you have to wonder if Miley Cyrus isn’t channeling Britney Spears the last couple of years. Her latest media controversy probably makes Disney Co. cringe trying to figure out profitability factors for syndication of the Hannah Montana franchise. Granted Cyrus is 19 and an adult, but buying her boyfriend a giant penis cake and making photos available of her performing oral sex on the giant cake – is not clear thinking. To quote Forrest Gump- Stupid is as Stupid does. Still her boyfriend might consider being worried that her selection of cake along with its public exposure was a Freudian Slip photographic statement of something she feels she ain’t getting out of the relationship.  And even though I am sure Disney Co. Executives are currently filling their Depends  – Daddy dearest Billy Ray Cyrus must be choking down Nitro tablets trying to fix his Achy Breaky Heart worrying about Miley being on the fast-track towards becoming the next teenage Super-Star celebrity meltdown.

No Nude Quad City Women on the Internet?

In this age of the Internet – Porn rules these Al Gore created hallow airwaves.  And while we smalltime Joe-&-Jane Average Bloggers are posting our non-porn ideas spurring debate among a handful of readers: Porn Kings are raking mega bucks by showing pictures of naked men and women to audiences of  millions seeking sexual perversions. So it came as a shock when as I was perusing the word searches that leads citizens of the blog world  to my blog site, that the words “local women nude in qc Il” had led someone to my blog. So I did a search using the words and found my story about discrimination against a topless bar maid (not even in the Quad City area) listed as the number six selection, for the phrase. Huh! I guess I can add that to the phrase “Muslim women losing their Virginity” that also seems to draw sex seekers on my blog on occasion. It does makes me wonder if this blog is now on the fast track to becoming the next mega Porn site, despite having no dirty pictures or erotica stories. Or is it that there is a general lack of interest to see naked women from the QC – that makes my blog post on discrimination, show up number six on the list for that phrase?  Or, maybe I am missing out on becoming the next Porn King millionaire by not operating a blog site consisting of pictures of naked Quad City women and erotica about Muslim women losing their virginity? Maybe I should  set up links to all the local strip clubs and adult entertainment businesses in the Quad City Illinois/Iowa region? Maybe I should just go out and do some research at all the local adult sites searching for naked Quad City women and judge current naked Quad City women for myself? In my pre-29+ year old years there seemed plenty of them out there in real life, not sure about them being on  this Al Gore Invention thingy at the time. So many questions so little personal interest being generated to explore those possibilities. Maybe the best idea is to just go fix some chili for supper and then create some more cheap renewable  natural energy resources. Now that sounds like a plan!

Curses Foiled Again

Well for a short moment in time,  it looked like I was back in style! I started reading a Daily Mail article and it said:

While recent years have seen the seemingly unstoppable rise of male grooming, 85 per cent of women said that the hirsute look suits men better.

Waxing and excessive shaving got the thumbs down, with girls opting for a ‘real man’ instead.

Shaved chests, plucked eyebrows and the ‘back, sack and crack’ wax were not, after all, the way to a woman’s heart, the survey found.

I was ecstatic after reading the analysis. Especially since shaved chests, plucked eyebrows and the ‘back, sack and crack’ wax are not (and never will be) included as part of my normal grooming process! Sadly my back-in-style moment was soon to be crushed in the same article. Further down in the article some distressing news was included to crush theScoundrel‘s back-in-style comeback-dream:

Only 8 per cent of women said they liked their men groomed to perfection, narrowly beating the 7 per cent who preferred to see a werewolf-like quantity of hair.

Okay that does present a problem. The problem being–> even after soaking in hair creme rinse for three hours,  it takes at least three t-shirts to contain the Midwestern Plains expansion growing on my chest and back, so that I may suppress any porcupine spikes from piercing anyone close enough to notice released male hormones. Curses, foiled again – by trivializing poll specifics. Seven percent poll ratings - really cuts down on a guys options when cruising the nightspots! Heck – that’s even lower than the Democrat and Republican Congress’ ratings!!!

Miss USA – Girls Gone Wild

The Miss USA contest is no stranger to T & A titillation. According to Wikipedia –> “The Miss USA pageant was conceived in 1950 when Yolande Betbeze, winner of the rival Miss America pageant, refused to pose for publicity pictures while wearing a swimsuit. Miss America Pageant sponsor Catalina (a swimsuit manufacturer) decided to pull their sponsorship off the pageant, and create their own competition.” Considering the current controversy surrounding the publicity photos of contestants in racy lingerie poses, used to promote this years pageant, it looks as if the Miss USA  Beauty Pageant has decided to up the shock-factor.

As a former raging hormonal teenager of the male species, followed up in the 90′s by running with a QC Wolf Pack chasing the local girls-gone-wild and with health permitting, a future member of the dirty old mans club – I can say that the 2010 Miss USA publicity photos definitely have the WOW-Factor!  If the pageant officials and  contestants were seeking to embolden a Caligula status to all  their reputations and increase television ratings – through the pictures of contestants clothed in come-hither attired Penthouse poses designed to produce pervert’s cramps among the pageants spectators, I am guessing that they have succeeded in that endeavor.

However, while capitalizing on the lust factor may increase the beauty pageants  television ratings – I am guessing the pictures will do little for any of the contestants not seeking to use the pageant as a means to jump-start a career in the porn industry or womens underwear modeling. If that is the hope of these Miss USA Contestants, then they have chosen wisely. They are certainly more honorable, dignified  and respectable professions than politicians and lawyers.

On the other hand if the contestants were hoping to use the pageant as a stepping-stone towards becoming the CEO of a fortune 500 company – the pageant  photo-op  is probably a bad idea. Large Corporations tend to be stuffy and prudish when it comes to men or women attempting to climb the corporate ladder. Men and women already sitting in the corporate penthouses tend to see Penthouse/Playboy posing women as carnal entertainment for behind closed doors. If climbing the corporate ladder were the intentions of these young ladies – the photos will probably only help create a more difficult road ahead of them, before they can become the next Martha Stewart.

I have never been a beauty pageant fan, even during my raging hormone days. Not my cup of tea. But I do wish the contestants luck and hope the photo-op works to their advantage. But I am guessing that the only real winner will be the pageant and the television station exploitation as they benefit from making girls-next-door into girls gone wild.

Boys Will Be Boys

Over on the WQAD website they are talking about a recent assault on a student, perpetrated by fellow school athletes. The story is sparse in details – but it claimed that two of the attackers held down the victim while a third attacker placed his genitals on the victims face while they were also verbally humiliating the victim. Two seniors and one junior have been arrested and charged for the attack. The two seniors were charged as adults and the junior was charged as a juvenile. The individual they attacked was a freshman. The WQAD readership seems to have varied views on how to deal with the arrested students. Some want to slap them on the hands and say “boys will be boys”. Others want to throw the book at the three students for their actions.

Sadly the “boys will boys” statements are all to familiar of an occurrence. For some reason, despite the negativity and possible harms involved, it seems that school hazing rituals continue in one form or another. Some hazing events are well-intentioned welcome to the club trials, others are viciously crafted attacks/torments to drive away competition. Which column this event falls under, is not evident from information given in the article or reader comments. But I strongly disagree with those that say the students should just be slapped on the hand for their possible hazing actions. I have known of so-called “well-intentioned” hazing events that took place over the years, which affected the victims with extreme emotional and/or physical distress. And in most cases the high school students involved in the events received a “bad boy” condemnation or had their hands slapped by getting suspended from school for a short-time and/or temporarily relieved of their athletic privileges. The closest to a serious high school punishment I can remember, involved not a hazing, but a group of jocks that were involved in a disputed non-consensual “boys will be boys” sexual activity. But the jocks were all well-connected and the girl involved had a tramps reputation, so the jocks simply got suspended from school and school athletics for the remainder of the season, but all was forgiven come the following spring. Hardly a fitting punishment considering the age of the girl! The fourteen-year-old girl/victim involved was basically kicked to the side of the road by the system. Hazing perpetrators  generally received even less punishment. Hand-slapping was not the proper punishment then, it is not the proper punishment now. Hazing has the potential to become a devastating event for the victim. It is a stupid is, as stupid does moment for the perpetrators and they/all potential hazers/bullies need to be sent a message that hazing and/or physical attacks are not an act to be tolerated.

Network Television – Endangered Species

Is the life of free Network Television dying an expensive death? There are many sources predicting the death of free TV by as soon as 2011. Maybe the demise could hold off until 2012, which would be kind of ominous, maybe even ironic to those that claim television as a blight on our culture. It is not as crazy as it may sound to those whom have never considered paying – for the costs of cable and/or satellite television signals.

As an AP article points out network television is bleeding greenbacks and not showing the quality profits as cable/satellite stations. Plus some cable/satellite stations like HBO, Showtime, USA Network, SYFY Network, Lifetime, MTV etc. have began to create their own original programming and movies. With the prodigious procreation of new cable/satellite only stations with a considerable amount of quality original programming- the available advertising dollars are spread thin. And cable/satellite stations are more creative in their selection of advertisers. I can remember 1-800 phone-sex advertising was common in the early 90’s on cable shows like the USA Up All Night with Rhonda Shear late night movie programming. Cable/satellite has also progressed (regressed?) to numerous 24 hour and late-night home-shopping programs; some even consist of selling adult themed sex toys. Trust me there is something a little unnerving, when you fall asleep in your La-z-boy rocker/recliner watching a family oriented television show and wake up to two hot babes selling forearm sized dildos on your 48″ HDTV. The cable/satellite channels have many more advertising sources to create revenue than are possible for standard broadcast television stations.

It was just about nine years ago when I got into a heated discussion over HDTV versus Standard Broadcasting TV signals, with an individual whom preached that broadcast television would always be available in standard format. I said at the time HDTV was a mandated signal switch by the Government and that stations would only broadcast in non-HDTV format as long as it was profitable. Many people told me – that I was talking crazy talk. I was talking reality that has now come to fruition. So when I read an article like the above AP story, where it claims that free network television may be going the way of the dinosaur, I tend to believe them. Companies need profit to operate and as sources of advertising revenue grow thinner – the weaker stations will die off. I suppose they could all apply for a government bailout or for endangered species protection from Obama.
