All Hail and Bow Before Emperor Barack Obama and the New Camelot

As we build up to the final coronation of Barack Obama as Emperor of the USA I have noticed a growing trend among the mesmerized sections of the press to start building and even exulting the yet unproven Obama administration to be the long awaited resurrection of King Arthur and the Camelot Legend 🙄 . So with that in mind and considering the unclothed Emperor Obama’s penchant for creating pompous stages to amplify his enormous ego and need for adoration, I thought I would offer up the suggestion of the following Broadway masterpiece from Lerner and Loewe, the lyrics to Camelot –> as his inauguration overture (dates and events will have to be amended by Obama’s propaganda staff in order to propagate the Obama/Camelot Myth.):

Lerner and Loewe —  Camelot Lyrics

King Arthur, err I mean The Emperor Barack Obama’s Song Lyrics:

It’s true! It’s true! The crown has made it clear.
The climate must be perfect all the year.

A law was made a distant moon ago here:
July and August cannot be too hot.
And there’s a legal limit to the snow here
In Camelot.
The winter is forbidden till December
And exits March the second on the dot.
By order, summer lingers through September
In Camelot.
Camelot! Camelot!
I know it sounds a bit bizarre,
But in Camelot, Camelot
That’s how conditions are.
The rain may never fall till after sundown.
By eight, the morning fog must disappear.
In short, there’s simply not
A more congenial spot
For happily-ever-aftering than here
In Camelot.

Camelot! Camelot!
I know it gives a person pause,
But in Camelot, Camelot
Those are the legal laws.
The snow may never slush upon the hillside.
By nine p.m. the moonlight must appear.
In short, there’s simply not
A more congenial spot
For happily-ever-aftering than here
In Camelot.

  1. The hyping of Obama is beyond anything I’ve seen in my 29+ years on this planet. (I know, I stole the 29+ thing, but I’m gonna use it anyway) 🙂

But at least some of his worshippers are tamping down expectations; where he once was the object of religious fervor (i.e.The One), he is now cast as merely a combination of FDR, JFK and Lincoln—without the horndogginess, of course! 😀

  2. I think I know what causes the moderation thing to kick in—use of more than one of these thingys: 😀

Or maybe too many consecutive comments—or maybe just because Akismet/WordPress feels like it!
